State of Esshar
[Image: moxtli.png]

1850 A.C.
  • If not known to Esshar already, it has been declared that of Sibyl Cirque becoming the new voice after democracy had seemingly failed and the stakes were brought through old traditions, an honor duel with Lucinda Meztin. She takes upon the position after the quick retirement of Thorn Meztin

  • The expansion project is still being planned and sorted in hopes that it can be in the works soon enough to give more homes to Moxtli and perhaps an official prison.

  • With the new Voice, implementations have begun to take place with that of new titles for the Tribes people to be classified in their own right and their duty to assist the tribes. The only that remain are the War-chiefs, Head Shaman. Which are as follows:

    Head Shaman: Xuelian Bei-Fang
War-Chiefs: Baux, Cedar Grace, Lucinda Meztin

  • Word begins to go around that Sibyl has spoken to a Teraphim in hopes to restore the Vale and purge the calamities that are brought from it's corruption. She beckons any and all Teraphim who have an idea to propose or merely want to assist to come to Moxtli. She offers that of the strength of her and her people to assist in anyway possible.

  • Sibyl also makes a clear voice for the people of Moxtli to hear and that of Esshar. A public announcement.
Quote:"As a leader I will be different to that of what I hold to my personal beliefs. That is what I shall sacrifice in order to make the tribes grow. We will continue the ways of the old, hold more meetings with the council and cast reformations to ensure that they will last. The enemies of Moxtli should be aware of what had happened at Fort Umbra. While Asphodel had claimed the right to destroy Fort Umbra, we had shown the power of the tribes in unification, what we are capable of and we will not stand quiet to fall and wait for Osrona to call the shots. We will be active, I'm calling to all the war-chiefs, scouts, hunters, and warriors to prepare. For what is to come will bring glory to the tribes.

That is all for now. Spirits Protect."

War rages upon Esshar!
The failed assault on Achyon to the incoming battle in Aesirheim put the country at risk of a phantom menace. In this time of peril the Osronan council gathers.

"Osrona's light is ever steady from me as I take this seat. While change comes from our horizon I will not stand silent to it. My voice on this council will be more than my own. Through myself I will represent our future and our youth. For those of you who left in the past, I plead to return. Through action and determination we can make the change we wish to see.

As we reach for this new Dawn, we must stay vigilant and aware of surroundings, not only the changes in the region, but also the people we share this grand city with. Our elders are wise and experienced, beyond our years. Even when they are clouded with their seniority, we can not give up on their legacy. We must tend to their voice as we expect them to tend to ours, we will need everyone for the path before us. This path most would rather not walk.

I look forward to serving all of you."

— Councilwoman Aeliana

The Champion of Eos, Theomars Farwalker has retired from his position on the council, leaving Radiant Melody lei Vel Kruger to replace him.

Following the retirement of Atagi Taiyang his seat on the council has finally been filled by none other than Knight-Keeper Aeliana.

The death of Elias orn Soleis has left some citizens in doubt while others rejoice. After a few months the situation seems to settle itself.

A few weeks after the death of Aerica Ivanovich the news of such spread far and wide, her last moments on the grounds of Starfall Academy at the hands of Warden Seifer K. Gardios having scarred a few more children than the man desired.

The project of the Aurora Chasm keeps on advancing due to the combined efforts of a team led by Elys Gardios and Aeliana. The Celestial Church had its basement and its wings greatly expanded in recent months.

Following a meeting of the council Osrona has made the decision to aid Aesirheim against the vampire threat. While the two nations are not allied the Shimmering City has decided to offer shelter to non-magi endangered by the conflict and to condone, outfit, aid, and provide military support to any of its troops wishing to help against Asphodel.

Talk of councilmembers meeting with Moxtli's voice in the following months is made.

A sermon will be held in the months before the battle.

An expedition to the Temple of Eos is being prepared in the following years. Led by her champion the venture aims to find the rightful successor to such a title as well as Sanctus. Interest has been brewing in the minds of the next generation who aims to see who has the potential to be the next Archmagi in the process.

"Everything is going as normal, keep working as always."

With the recent attack on the City of Machines - repelled by the combined allied forces of Achyon and Asphodel, it is remarkable that the city remains functional as always..  The population is slowly starting to go back to their daily routines and things are quickly stabilizing. Meanwhile, the Council members meet after a long period - and from the Iron Chambers the most recent decisions about the future of the city comes to the public.

ᔸ - The composition of those who hold a seat on the Iron Chambers remains the same! Nidaz Vanreth being the Fleshcrafters representative, Niffty the Commander, Synesia Artra the Techonomancers Representative, Claudette the Synthetics Voice, Vasil pyr Aertas the Aertas representative and finally Ilya pyr Docro the Docro Representative.

ᔸ - The War Efforts, led by High Councilman Nidaz Vanreth, remains steadfast and is getting closer and closer to its goal.. Ready to assist the city allies in this important move against their many enemies.

ᔸ - With the completion of Project: Vengeance - there are rumors that the Supreme Necromancer has started new ones right away and which will soon come to public.

ᔸ - The Technomancers guild has started New Projects regarding the building of a entire new generation of Synths to work for Achyon, such project is under Claudette's supervision - which will be working with Synesia.

ᔸ - New measures will be taken in regarding Vampires and Ghouls, to increase the protection of the population and implement a stricter regime towards those afflicted by the curse..

ᔸ - There is a noticeable increase in the frequency of undead apparitions withing Achyon after the completion of Project Vengeance, where sightings of the creature itself - in addition to other abominations roaming through the streets, is increasingly common.

Year: 1851

Following the cease-fire established with Asphodel the blighted lands of Nyx have taken the time to heal and grow. Wanton aggression having bought them a peace that isolationism failed to do. Now though the monsters within those cursed swamps begin to grow restless. No longer is it a single Mireling that ventures into the outer lands but whole packs of beasts. The night becomes a time of terror for the average Essharan and the days scarcely safer. Entire villages have been found burned, the people killed or drug underground to face a worse fate.
It wouldn't be long before someone picked up on a common theme with these roving bands hover. Perhaps a survivor would spot the monsters and Achyon soldiers passing by one another or a keen map-maker would realize after erasing another town that those within Achyon's sphere seemed to be untouched. It seems that in there darkest hour and having been cut off from there homeland's support. A far darker offer of aid has been given... And accepted.
Quote:"To be cast aside by your own people is a terrible thing but the outcast are truly the blessed of Nyx. Let us bring about a new age together. Steel and bone. Blood and oil."
News and updates are delivered to the Shadowmire and its allies by the Tyrant's heralds.

  • Within the dark an alliance between the city-state of Achyon and the chaotic realm of the Shadowmire. Achyon's gate's have been opened to the monsters and the swamps of the mire are welcome to those of Achyon.
Such an alliance has caused a noticeable decrease in skirmishing with the Vampires of Asphodel though time will tell if there mutual alliance with Achyon keeps the bad-blood between them in check.

  • Rumors state that the upper echelons of the Cult of Nyx were seen heading deep into the Shadowmire, with reports of an extremely successful expedition upon their return.
  • During what was intended to be a peaceful Sermon, the Nethradin known as Ivory utilized her potent connection to the Nightmother to wreak havoc upon the faithful of Osrona. Rumors and whispers in the aftermath state that Nethradin claimed to be Nyx's own descendant amidst the chaos.
  • As always the Cult is open to those willing to learn more of the Night Mother, they need only seek out the Bloodmistress or Ivory to express interest
  • An ever growing stream of slaves can be seen put to work around the foundations of the Torkeep, re-enforcing the old structure and expanding it. As an effort is made to bring the citadel back to its former glory.
  • An offer of home has been given out to those cut-throat or just plain crazy enough to deal with the monsterland. Brigands flock to the Horde as merchants are lured into the Mire to gain a profit. Those interested in joining the Mire's forces should speak to Nanzo.

1852 AC - the year of growth

"It is time for action."

Through valiant efforts from Aesirheim's warriors and international aid, the denizens of the Shadowed Savanna successfully repel the united attack from New Achyon and Asphodel. Some captives taken during the war are released, the whereabouts and fate of others unknown. While the Vanir have survived this attack, many lives were lost during the war- notably Arden Sionnach, a Vaalmooran Magi.

Her death weighs heavy on the people of Aesirheim, with a funeral planned on Memorial Hill to pay respects to those who died fighting for their home.

After nigh a year of private discourse amongst his people, the Jarl of Aesirheim makes an announcement, radiating a strangely divine luminescence.

(lime green dlc vekel)

Quote:
They could not kill me. Did I not say this, already?

I have proven my worth as your Jarl, as I promised.

They sent their entire armies to destroy our home- many former allies having betrayed me in this decision most unwise. They killed Arden- they've harmed those I love.
I will get to them. You know who you are. Tread carefully. Your days are numbered.

The bloodshed and ichor that now scars my land has permanently empowered me.

Under my light, we will rise. You deserve time to rest, and as such, we will focus on our people. We will see to it that further attacks on our livelihoods are shot down with even more success that the last. Our defense will be stronger and the saccharine character of our motherland will soon shine upon the settlement.

To the loyalists of Barsburg that recognize that Achyon is no longer the glorious Iron City that they once revered, I have something planned for you. Reach out to me.

To my enemies- Asphodel, corrupt Achyon and the Shadowmire- you are no longer welcome anywhere near my sands. Should my warriors see you, they are permitted to take limb after limb until terror prevents you from ever setting foot here again- much as I did when a certain cowardly Mutant intruded on my territory.

On the Path of the Triumvirate we Rise, we Fall. Rétt framan í hann.

♅ Aesirheim and the Fireblooded are officially due to depart on a large-scale expedition to visit the Great Dragon Garjling.

♅ Bao Ming prepares to lead a spiritual event for Aesirheim's people, intent on restoring life to the desert outpost.

♅ Notable warriors of Aesirheim have stationed themselves by the western Shadowmire docks, imposing blood tolls on intruders.

♅ The corruption and destruction brought upon the Vanir settlement during the war has largely been cleansed and patched up, some other regions unfortunately scarred permanently.

♅ There has been a sudden growth in Aesirheim's population, many warriors from lands far and wide joining the settlement.

1852 A.C.

The citadel has seen little activity in the last couple of years, aside from meeting from time to time. The Queen is reportedly looking inwards, to focus upon domestic matters rather than disputes abroad. Though it goes without saying that the forces of Asphodel remain poised to strike should the opportunity present itself, or they face danger from beyond their borders.

With the recent death of Vekel, a statement has been released.

Quote:
It is as I foretold, the traitor has been fell at the hands of my trusted ally, Niffty. A 'divine being' which folded beneath the power of Achyon's Commander, though his tenacity and bluntly put ambition can be admired. Regardless, as it stands I have no further investment in Aesirheim. If their people continue to push for warfare, we will push back.

His death also is a message to my allies at the same time, at least those of you who were attempting to work with him.. to potentially utilize him against me even- you know who you are.

As it stands the Kingdom of Asphodel will focus its efforts inwards, planning hopefully expeditions, maybe even a joint one with the remnants of Achyon. We stand loyally beside our allies, as we have for the last decade or so. I am more than willing to engage in diplomacy with the other factions, should the need arise.

The time of marching is ceasing for just a while, but we shall see how things progress.

❖ Asphodel has been relatively quiet in recent years, but there are still many ongoing projects by Prince Ambrose, as well as the other artificers.

❖ The Queen has been spotted leaving occasionally, but only to gather and collect blood. Word says she has been collecting it for an unspecified purpose, though approach at your peril.

❖ Despite rocky relations with some of the Docro family, the alliance with Achyon stands firm, with no signs of it faltering or breaking on Asphodel's part, especially with the rise of a new Don.

❖ Word has spread throughout Asphodel and the surrounding territories of a marital engagement between Araceli Falkenrath and Ambrose Roche, though a wedding date has not yet been decided.

1853 A.C.
  • After travelling the distance of Esshar to the far east to talk with Queen Araceli Falkenrath, a ceasefire has been initialized between Moxtli and Asphodel, both territories un-wanting to aggress upon the other outside defensive fronts. There is no current date to when this action will be uplifted.

  • A series of evictions take place in Moxtli to homes that are unoccupied by residents who do not contribute to the tribes. If anyone is an owner or a helper to the former home and want to reclaim their lost items, they must speak to the Voice on that regard. In the meanwhile, houses will become available to the people of Moxtli who offer their assistance to the tribes and want to purchase a home within Moxtli. Outsiders are forbidden from renting property. You will get kicked out immediately.

  • The Voice has been seen leaving Moxtli every so often in search of spiritmancers. The appeal of retaining spirits within Moxtli after realizing the lack of them over the many years they have been neglected had sprung an urgency to such actions. Plans are to attract a lot of spirits at once, and dealing with the wraiths that follow.

  • Cedar Grace has announced his retirement from the War-Chief position, transitioning the position to his nephew Aries Grace. Alongside this, Yuki Meztin was announced War-Chief after a council meeting was held and agreed that he takes the position over Baux Meztin.

  • With the opening of The Spirit's Hand, there has been a slow but steady progress in helping the people of Esshar obtain their equipment at a small fee. Moxtli encourages everyone who wants to use a golden anvil for a chance to make the best armor or weaponry one can get through normal means.
  • During the Alliance Tournament, many witnessed the death of Alexei pyr Docro, the Voice addresses this among the death of Vekel in a speech.

Quote:"The death of Alexei pyr Docro is one of the few qualities we have in healin' Esshar. He has been given what he has taken all through his years in our world. I know a majority of Esshar is relieved by this, but the weeps of the Docro manor can be heard. The same could be said in Aesirheim, for they lost a valuable leader, Vekel. Although kind to us, he had his own plans, and it did not look good for the future of an alliance between Moxtli and Aesirheim. I'm calling out an invitation to the new lead of Aesirheim to come to Moxtli to discuss the future of the bonds between both factions.

On another note, Moxtli is planning on reawakening the fourth patron spirit, Xotonal. I'm calling for all our shamans to come participate in preparations of this extraordinary event. It will be grand, but through hardship must we face for the better of Moxtli."

Quote:"The Garljing Coat is expanding, our projects are being completed and only two goals remain now. To see Garljing and meet the Divines. As Fireblooded, as dragons."
Driyar Hedor, Dragonlord of the Fireblooded
֎ After a adventure to the temple of Quetzalcoatl, the dragonlords returned with the egg of a dragon that was hatched shortly after. The Garljing Coat has its Guardian Dragon once more.

֎ The expansion of the Garljing Coat is coming to an end with the preparations of the old festival to say our thanks to the Divines.

֎ Artificers on the Coat finished their project with the help of many people. The one leading the project, Driyar Hedor proudly announces that the Dragonforge is completed.

֎ The Garljing Coat is preparing for two expeditions. One with the Aesirheim to see Garljing and the other, mainly for the Fireblooded to see Ryujin.

֎ To continue an old expansion, the Dragonlords, Acolytes and Flame Heralds are also preparing an expedition to their old mines that the previous generation started to build but never finished as they hope to build it within the Coat.

The current leaders of the Fireblooded are as follows:

Iris Vartuul: Den Mother

Doriya Helenium: Dragonlord
Driyar Hedor: Dragonlord

Ciel Valkrin: Warlord

֎ The Garljing Coat has more acolytes than before even with some of them giving problem. The Coat is slowly but surely growing once more.

֎ The Dragonlords demand respect and honor from visitors and Fireblooded alike. One of the two already discovered what happens when you lack both.

֎ The current relations within Esshar remain the same, though their focus has expanded.

War between the civilized lands of Esshar has came to a stand still, for now. In the absence of active threats, the council of Osrona has taken time to convene. The time for progress has begun.

"The era before us...- What do you see when you look at it? Do you see war? The death of innocents? Many do. This pessimism in our minds. The insistent darkness which lurks in all of us. It grows in the face of anger, fear, and conquest. A shade which toils our decisions and fogs our clairvoyance. It is an influence on everything we do. Overcoming this rival to our light is essential to the path we walk. While we reach for the sanctity of our lands, we do well not to taint them with selfish bloodshed. Moving into this new era I promise Osrona will become a beacon of hope and good will. We will lead the alliance against Asphodel and will defeat the pushing forces of the Mire. Once this land is free of darkness once more our allies fear our intentions and I am here to reassure there is no need to fear. Once Esshar is restored to light and free of taint, there will be no crusades of other cultures. No...-

Osrona will wait.

We will wait for when we are needed again to destroy the blight of the realm. The conquest of power and land, no longer the jewel in the eyes of our Order. Instead we will be the protectors of this continent, the safeguard against the truly corrupt. A pleasant and caring kin to all who share our land, yet a violent and scorning foe to those who threaten it. That is the promise I make for the world after the Cain. All we must do is collectively reach it, then perhaps a single generation will know true peace. That is my wish. That is my vision.

Through darkest nights and strongest storms.

I look forward to serving you all."

— Arch-Magi Aeliana Efsevis

After a long period of stagnation and consideration, Arch-Magi Aeliana Efsevis has been appointed by the council. Rumors suggest a collection of reforms are coming to the Shimmering City.

The Lightbearer of the Second-Dawn, Auxis, has retired from his position in total, yet remains on the council. Radiant Angelo has been promoted to Lightbearer in his stead, also joining the council.

Radiant Priscilla Gardios was killed in combat versus Illythia pyr Docro, after the ghoul revealed herself as a disguised Cadet. This leaves an empty Radiant slot in the Order's ranks. At the same event, Alexei was killed by former Lightbearer Auxis.

Grand-Healer Sasha Alder-Illhardt is retiring from her role, she has raised a fine generation of healers in her wake. One may be gifted the title in time, as a traditional formality.

Seifer Gardios has stepped down from his role as Warden, passing the title to Ban Efsevis. The former Warden will remain on the council for now, filling a different role while changes are considered.

Radiant Melody lux Vel Kruger is tediously going through efforts to domesticate the local rock population. They seem to be going moderately well.

The chasm project still continues, under the supervision of the council and Cerise Metras. While not much word of the direct progress has been made, there was a call to aid not long ago, one that brought a variety of artificers to the Shimmering City.

The Lady of Coins and Matriarch of the Grimmore family, Esther ven Grimmore has retired, passing both titles to her daughter, Aurelia ven Grimmore. She is also filling her seat on the council.

The sermon held by Sasha Alder-Illhardt was interrupted by a Mire Nethradin known as Ivory.

An expedition to the Temple of Eos is still being prepared, a slight interruption with the announcement of the Mire's raid. A defensive force is being formed to deflect the assault, led by the new Lightbearer of Osrona, Angelo ven Pelleaux.

The Shimmering City's relations are as follow:

1854 A.C.

The citadel of Asphodel has remained quiet, with little to no activity outside of their own borders. However, a new change has found itself seizing the land from the inside out; the Crimson Monarch's crown rests upon a new head, and her weapon is grasped by a different hand...

 ◦ Immediately upon return from an expedition to the Shadowlands with the Docro family, during which Ambrose Roche lost his life, Volikhar's Coffin erupted into chaos and bloodshed. The attempt at regicide found itself successful; Araceli Falkenrath was slain amidst the violence, with her corpse cremated by Tartarus Task shortly before his departure from the court of Asphodel. Additionally, the owner of Volikhar's Coffin, Vilyra, has been apprehended and arrested for attempting to halt such an event.

◦
Upon the death of the former Queen Falkenrath, Avelin Alricht has become the new Queen of Asphodel. Those in alliances and ceasefires arranged by Araceli are encouraged to contact her when possible, as to ensure as smooth a transition as possible. In addition, rumors spread that she wishes to arrange such a meeting with the Fireblooded at a later date.

◦ The Crimson Court's ranks are as follows:
Princess of Asphodel
Annete Alricht

Viscounts of Asphodel
Adrian Ivanovich
Sebastian and Kassarus Falkenrath
Auberon Invidia
The Original Four (Marjorie, Thane, Naren, Alois Loire)

Asphodel continues to hold its defensive position in the east of Esshar, with no signs of offensive movement from its borders.

◦ A short statement has been released on the topic of the former Queen's death, alongside the current one's coronation.
Quote:
"Such a thing as a kingdom is delicate, and Araceli always acted without consulting the rest of us.
These are the consequences of such a thing."
Queen Avelin Alricht
