Character: Snacks
Which Event: Origins

Rob isn't the type to be asked to run an event. He will come to you. And when he comes to you, the event he runs is glorious and compelling and makes you cry and feel bad for those you dragged along with you.

This isn't the normal event rating or whatever the fuck we're calling it. It's where we celebrate the funny shit that happened during the event while celebrating Rob's ability to wing an entire 10 hour event that started at 10am EST and ended at 8pm EST. Holy shit balls, y'all.

Anyway the event, for being winged entirely, was amazing and it drew on a lot of things. I gave Rob Snacks' backstory from the role app and he ran with it and performed a Hail Mary. He even included the Synthetic I brought in with me, who wasn't made by the Institute (sorry Uralai....) There's a lot to this event and I won't be able to cover it.

But this was amazing and more than I could have hoped for for a silly origin event for my silly mimic.

Thank you.

Character: Nadir Eisande
Which Event: Snacking in the Desert

Responsiveness: 10/10 honestly incredibly responsive. we didn't go like 10 minutes without a response (unless i held everyone up with my wpm)
Balance: 9/10 I've never seen an Ascended Sirenian drown before.
Storytelling: Absolutely the pinnacle of this event. Extremely pointed, absolutely engaging, and despite starting early and somehow STILL taking ten hours to complete for what was a 'straightforward event', everything felt as though it had extremely rich lore. It was interactive, forever considering our characters standings and our relevancy to what we were doing and had done up until that point. Kept us on our toes too!
Fairness: When three himbos and a blob try to do a puzzle things can only go so far.... Extremely fair, however. We had our knees broken, but were also able to break knees. Very attentive of details within posts and considered everyone's different strengths and weaknesses evenly. It rocked.

Additional notes: Kalione ended up looking like a dog who got stung by bees.

Snacking in the Desert
Standouts: Swift narrates; always prepared; setting descriptions which make complicated locations easy to understand; great writing, items and otherwise.

That was an event and a half. Long, but only because we 'uhmd' and 'ahhd' at the start (and I wrote slowly), apologies to the DM  Shy .
What Rob does best is he enables authors to show off their entire character and it makes the event a milestone in the character's life rather than filler. As a result it left me with a newfound appreciation of all the other characters: I would gladly die to Kalione, Nadir and Snacks if the situation comes up again.

DMing is a skill and Rob's great at it. The segment he wrote into the event for my character was very rewarding and fit seamlessly within. The DM really felt like our fifth party member in this experience rather than some omniscient narrator.
Makes me wish I could witness the Elfame event...

Event: The Un-Vale-Ing (im posting late)

My second private event, and it was a tonne of fun. Every step of the way felt like being caught up in the Weaver's schemes, where our characters were presented with traps which preyed on our characters' better natures - as befits Savarra. We fell face-first into each of them, because we are very nice.

An immersive map to move through, quick responses with seemingly every situation prepared for, and lots of room for our characters to demonstrate who they are.
IRL interruption for a party member meant it needed to be spread across 2 days - though, given our party spread was a mix of American/Euro/Australian timezones, it might've been good to make it 2 days from the outset. A poor dryad would have been awake till 8AM+ if we'd done it all in one day, I think.

It was very funny to be the sole Aerodyne of the party, going through a corrupted segment of the Vale. We did not consider beforehand if that might, innately, pose a bit of danger. A cute ragdolling experience, that he somehow walked out in one (slightly different) piece, which created some lasting leads for my character to follow.
