Spell Balance Suggestions

Something like that yeah. It's tricky because Curse is already a very strong basic and... homing builds... problematic, but the best thing to do is to either remove it or rework the functionality, and the second best is to make it an upgrade (which feels awkward as a hidden so I'm not very keen).

At the very least I'll nudge about the stats until we decide on what to do with it in the meanwhile.

If Curse was worse and Soul Drain was better, people might take it for the utility it gives in hurting Holy Magi and other sustainers. Right now Curse is just so useful you don't need another one unless it's good enough to run into the same problems you mentioned (of having too many good homings on your bar).

What if we merged curse and soul drain into one spell that does a bit of both? So far I’m happy with the new change, so I def am down for a 5rpp upgrade.

the thing that appears to be missing about soul drain...

is that it was originally prat of the DEATH MAGIC TREE TRIO so it was fine that it was another strong homing (actually it fucking sucked in spires but it was supposed to be, ok)

now it's just... like, a low level low rpp cost hidden. and it was statted as such ...

Make Sanctuary not cost 20% of my mana each time I want to use this intermediate with a cooldown of 35 seconds.

ps: it probably has that double mana drain coming from spires like cacophony did

why is fire wave (gfw, blazing wave, flameslide) aoe damage applied instantly on hit? it makes them too strong..
