Key/Character: Turul
Which Event: Public Event - Master of Skeletons

Responsiveness: 10/10

Balance: 10/10 (it's difficult to manage an EC that's meant to be a threat. Without outright merking everyone.)

Storytelling: 10/10 I put a 10, because personally? While the story was minimal here? It created a bunch! At least for me.

Fairness: 10/10 Maybe a little too fair? Honestly. I think the injuries handed out, were very cool and seem to be dev worth and much more. Honestly? Too fair. Should've downed more an amassed plot for all!

Overall: Very fun event. Short and sweet and left with more than I came with. Even with rolling low on rewards. The temp? Was a banger and I honestly look forward to my story, going forward. Hopefully I can make this temp. Into something more!

Any other comments: Thumbs up from me.

Which Event: The Heart of a Fairy Tale

Responsiveness 10. Never felt like I was waiting too long for a response.

Balance 9. Battles were entertaining, though there were a few moments when they felt a bit rough. Still fun all the same and enjoyable.

Storytelling 8. There weren't any sort of crazy twists and turns, it was pretty straight-forward but a good story all the same. I wasn't left wanting for more or anything of the like.

Fairness 9. Good difficulty, good rewards, good injuries.

Overall: My first Mal event, I wasn't quite sure what to expect but I wasn't left wanting for anything. It was a nice event, enjoyable, and I had fun throughout it. There weren't any dull moments either and the ECs were well thought-out and nice to interact with.

Which Event: The Heart of a Fairy Tale

Responsiveness: 10. Didn't have to wait too long for a response, and also took player actions into account no matter how zany and insane they were.

Balance: 9. The fights themselves had me nervous, though there were several instances where I just ended up trolling him due to my combos.

Storytelling: Very straight forward, but still engaging all the same. I enjoyed the story myself, and I look forward to more events by Mal!

Fairness: 9.5. Everything felt fair, and I love both the reward I got as well as the perm I received!

Overall: Excellent. Good job, dude.

Character: Sak'noth
Event: What Lies within the Fire

Responsiveness: Mal was quick to provide the Narrates, as well as for the progression of the event - which was lead very well.

Balance: Something to work for sure, there were moments I felt like I was the victim, rather than the player. But it was fun nonetheless.

Storytelling: From the simplicity of the text provided in the request, Mal provided a story with an interesting background and that for some villains, was pretty fun. A good adventure in the volcano, where I could see people fighting for a soul. Amusing.

Fairness: Great rewards, fair and which provided some dev for those involved.

Overall: Fun event, but needs to work around balance. Still dazed from the powersmashs.

Responsiveness: Narrates came rather swiftly, I was impressed as the DM was also multitasking. That's definitely a ten out of ten in my book, really.

Balance: The combat was thrilling, I'd call it one of the best battle experiences that I've had during an event to date. There was insane variety between the fights, from the initial fight against one of the most terrifying creatures that I've met.

Ihatejackihatejackihatejackihatejackihatejackihatejack
This insane creature that quickly forced us to adapt and cooperate. Next was a boss that blinked around the field chaotically and bombed areas with black holes and murdeous surge on crack. Finally ending with a binding of isaac-esque boss with waves and bullets flying everywhere. Never once felt the bosses were unfair or cheap, I'd say aside from some powersmash spam that I TCed. That was funny.

Eleven out of ten, I felt the adrenaline rush of a good fucking fight.

Storytelling: Story went hard that time, even if the premise itself was a simple one. Interaction was regularly encouraged and lead to some fun scenes and cooperation, and he even allowed this cheesy interpersonal moment of love bypassing a puzzle. Some additional stake by the end too with the main villain. Additionally, our personal development were fostered well, I felt satisfied with it.

Fairness: Rewards were nice. Bosses were wonderous. Puzzles took thinking but weren't asinine.

Nine out of ten.

Overall: Quality event, I was very happy with it. Definitely close to perfect in my mind, and we survived for now. Didn't feel as long as it actually was, kept me really engaged. This will be an event that I'll remember long after, plus I now have the perfect catalyst for PTSD.

Responsiveness: Never an issue, they were quick with the narrates and properly incorporated the roleplays into the posts.

Balance: There was never a dull moment when it came to combat. Each boss was different with its own niche and made it fun to adapt to each encounter. As my friends previously stated:

Ihatejackihatejackihatejackihatejackihatejackihatejack

A perfect 10/10

Storytelling: The story was amazing, and impactful and had several standout moments in which each person felt as if they were contributing something and not merely just observers or stand-ins to make up numbers.

Fairness: Fights were great, the story flowed and worked in tandem with the difficulty, prizes were great!

Nine out of ten.10/10

Overall: Another great event directed and produced by the one and only. I'm looking forward to experiencing more of what they have to offer, as always!

Which Event: Void Whisper's Reprieve

Responsiveness: 10. Everything was super super fast and the narrates responded to everything we were doing. Very engaging.

Balance: 10. Holy. Fucking. Shit. I have never puckered my asshole as hard as I did on this event. I really had to think about what I was doing and not be reckless. Nothing was overtly easy and I had a blast and was screaming all through the combat. It was incredible.

Storytelling: 10. It was a very engaging story, and the dev. Do not get me started on the dev this man provided. There was one scene where I had to pause and go 'holy shit this is three of my biggest dev boxes being checked right now.' Mal is also ridiculously good at allowing creativity and basing things off player action and dice rolls.

I don't think I've ever had such an 'anime moment' then rolling double 6's with my husband as we creatively overcame a boundary instead of succumbing to losing my morals.

Fairness: 10. We saw the injury table before hand and it was very fair, definitely a 'fuck around and find out' and we definitely found out a few times. The injuries were incredible and all tied very well to the event.

Overall: A few times it definitely felt like 'oh god I need to survive' over 'I need to fight' but that definitely is the thrill of a well done HCoD. The story was good, the fights were heart racing, and the entire event left us both panicked and yelling at each other and laughing hysterically.

Final Note: Fuck Jack. We will come to Hel and finish him there so he may never rise again.

Event: Void Whispers Reprieve

Responsiveness:
Narrates was always fast and in place! Spesificly even while he was multi-tasking! Fastest hand in the west.

Balance
So first of all. Each fight felt right on place when it comes to difficulty. Pushed us into corner but also give us enough space to recover when we needed.

Though.

Fuck Jack. Fuck his rift lizard. Fuck his final boss dog.

Storytelling:
While story was rather simple one it was still fun and interesting spesificly with the extra immersion comes from the new descriptor feature! So good!

Fairness:
Rewards was fair alongside of battles and puzzle too. Everything we go through pushed us for more creativity spesificly when it comes to puzzles. While rewards was interesting all around.

Responsiveness: Very swift. Despite multitasking there was never too long a pause in-between narrates. You never would have thought he was doing other things.

Balance: It was terrifying, but in a good fun way. Combat felt like I was dealing with actual RPG bosses with certain rotations you had to deal with. Each one having different variety of move sets to them that was distinct. I never felt as though I was being cheated, even when I would be taken down. Was incredibly fun, and made for a great combat experience.

Storytelling: Not the most complex premise wise, yet there was many moments that allowed for us players to creatively solve issues. Engaging with the obstacles thrown at us that required a moment of critical thinking to solve. Had an awesome moment for personal dev that was a blast to roleplay, and a final boss that made for a satisfying conclusion.

Fairness:  Bosses were fun and engaging without being frustratingly difficult, rewards were all great and the obstacles were interesting.

Overall: 10/10. Had a awesome time, didn't even realize it took as long as it did.
