Key/Character: Gavriil
Which Event: Sins of the Father
Responsiveness (Were their narrations posted within a reasonable time-frame and were they quick to respond?): 10/10 How you type so fast is BEYOND me, but I hardly had to wait at all. Lovely stuff.
Balance (How entertaining were the battles, and any obstacles/traps?): 10/10 There was only one fight, and it was pretty darn balanced. Good STUFF.
Storytelling (Did it feel like an adventure, did the content of the narrations meet your expectations?): 10/10 This was exactly what I was hoping it would be. A long trek through the sewers, before engaging in a glorious final bout with Ouranos. It was perfect.
Fairness (Were the punishments justified and earned, was the risk to reward ratio good?):10/10 It was more than worth the risk of injury.
Overall: 10/10 This was my first time being on one of your events, and it was incredible.
Any other comments: I got to kill Myradin, so that automatically makes it a 20/10 event.

Which Event: Trance of the Void
Responsiveness (Were their narrations posted within a reasonable time-frame and were they quick to respond?): 10/10, wonderful and quick narrations
Balance (How entertaining were the battles, and any obstacles/traps?): 10/10 THE BATTLES WERE REALLY FUN. PLEASE GIVE ME MORE MMO RAID BOSSES TYVM. Also the riddles were fun
Storytelling (Did it feel like an adventure, did the content of the narrations meet your expectations?): 10/10!! Yes!! entering the lair was FUN i enjoyed the themes of void and necromancy as well. some hidden darker stuff, too.
Fairness (Were the punishments justified and earned, was the risk to reward ratio good?) 10/10, while the vit ended up needed to be adjusted at the end i still think it was really fair and the rewards were WELL worth it
Overall: 10000/10

Key/Character: Freeter-kun - Nameless
Which Event: Trance of the Void
Responsiveness (Were their narrations posted within a reasonable time-frame and were they quick to respond?): Fast -- I never really felt like I needed to wait much, which was surprising as we had a sizeable group up. The narration was fairly bulky and fun too, making each aspect of the event tie well into one another.
Balance (How entertaining were the battles, and any obstacles/traps?): The battles felt truly and well befitting the HCoD. I felt like I was on the edge of my seat the entire fight, weaving through the attacks -- and there was a pattern that he had established that made it fun, especially as I started to adapt to the patterns and use it against the enemy. It felt like I was going through a cinematic battle, more than just a battle. Suffice to say, the battles that Mal had for us made our efforts felt like they amounted to something bit by bit, and that it was all a joined effort.
Storytelling (Did it feel like an adventure, did the content of the narrations meet your expectations?): The storytelling had multiple layers to it. I really enjoyed how there are parts of the riddles and parts of the stories that could be surmised from the context clues given. There was a really nice story, and though it may be largely coincidental(?) the parallel that could be drawn between my character and the characters indicated in the story made it so enjoyable and relatable.
Fairness (Were the punishments justified and earned, was the risk to reward ratio good?): Very fair. There were clear hints as to what not to do and what to do, there were also moments of leniency that gave people enough wiggle room to personalize certain actions in the event that felt nice. And certain levels of approach that made it feel fair, though still risky and in-line with the threat level indicated.
Overall: 10/10 - I forgot to mention somewhere up there that he also chose banger soundtracks per round.
Any other comments: Looking forward to dying in the next events (tomorrow).

Key/Character: K'thul
Which Event: Trance of The Void
Responsiveness (Were their narrations posted within a reasonable time-frame and were they quick to respond?): Narrations were posted in a quick and timely manner, along with responses to the player's actions. 10/10
Balance (How entertaining were the battles, and any obstacles/traps?): Both bosses used similar spells, but both were fun and challenging to combat and kite against. (Although a few times they did have a little bit too much health.) The riddles were also something neat to figure out. 10/10
Storytelling (Did it feel like an adventure, did the content of the narrations meet your expectations?): The tale of a scholar descending into madness and turning both he and his lover into abominations was engaging and the gimmick played out was fun. 10/10
Fairness (Were the punishments justified and earned, was the risk to reward ratio good?): All the rewards were nice for the risk that was had.
Overall: 10/10

Key/Character: Nameless (Halosis)
Which Event: Hunt for the Past
Responsiveness (Were their narrations posted within a reasonable time-frame and were they quick to respond?): Very responsive. We had choices and options, especially considering that the event was tied to a character's past. A funny timing even was when the ECs were retroactively adapted and adjusted to a person's words and actions towards them, or when there was the moment when the pillar wanted our IC secrets at the time and they were all well-responded to. The banter, and everything from the narrations to the reactions of the bosses and enemies were all perfect. I'll be frank and say that the responsiveness leaves a satisfactory level in both speed and the genuine responses made towards the RPs.
Balance (How entertaining were the battles, and any obstacles/traps?): Perfect. There were a few moments when the enemies were a bit too much, such as the Void Eyes and what-not but they were all equally adjusted to ensure that it'd be fair. (F Void Eyes). Above all, there were patterns that he had given each bosses that made them feel like you're playing an MMORPG and fighting an actual raid boss. It was very entertaining, alongside the culminative fact that the bosses each matched a certain atmosphere and ambience. They presented fun fights, they were not easy and matched the risk levels, but they were very fun. I will explicitly admit that this is one DM I would not mind dying to.
Storytelling (Did it feel like an adventure, did the content of the narrations meet your expectations?): Okay.
This one will be a long one and this is where I will lavish all the praises.
To give context about the event, it was about Nameless' past. There were details discussed between me (Nameless' player) and the DM that otherwise constituted the core element of it and the only known fact about the event that I knew, which was Nameless' story and his name. This left plenty of room for the DM to make something out of it, and I shit you not that he made it genuinely beautiful. What I thought was going to be an event of beating bad guys up and reclaiming one's name resulted in the biggest moral and mental dilemma of it all that made perfect use of my character's backstory and the things that have culminated towards this particular event in a beautiful climax. I cannot lavish more praises than this without sounding like I'm just talking him up senselessly, but the truth of the matter was that he took the framework that I had given him and made it into a perfect character defining arc. It was to the point that I would not have minded whatever twists he'd have had in store, from start to finish, I was having fun and enjoying every bit of it. Even the event bosses (the monsters to fight) each were tied to the backstory in their own ways.
The rewards and everything were tied to the lore, each of them had a running theme. Even the very idea of the event itself was used to further one's character arc, and while it may have been an admittedly selfish event personally tied to Nameless, it still influenced every single one of the characters that had participated due to the way the mental conundrum and dilemmas were posted and postulated. Suffice to say? If you want a true and a genuine character developing arc, something that you know will be impactful and something that you are willing to let the DM, Mal, play around with and work with? Go for him.
I am beyond satisfied, and beyond happy with how he made these moments feel very special. The event felt like one-of-a-kind event and everything, by that I mean everything, had in itself an effect on the characters who had joined. Masterfully done, Mal.
Fairness (Were the punishments justified and earned, was the risk to reward ratio good?): The rewards so far have been beautiful and fun, most of them are character-influencing and developing, with some of the rewards not being necessary but capable of being worked towards at the cost of further risk. Were it not for our risk-mitigating plans, we likely would have suffered a lot, lot more. But even then, everything was fairly done and distributed.
Overall: 10/10
Any other comments: RIP Shopkeeper John
I bet you're surprised that you have this review already when the event is still ongoing, but like I told you.
You're actually insane and awesome bro, keep it up.

Event: Hunt for the Past
Character: Balar
Responsiveness:
Very good. I expected having huge amounts of down time that'd take me out of the adventure but I was very much mistaken. Yes, there was downtime as is expected in any scenario where you have 5 people roleplaying with eachother but it never felt like I was waiting longer than I needed to.
Balance:
This is my very first event in history of playing this game so I don't know what the golden standard is. That being said, I never felt like the EC bars were broken to the point of not being fun and every encounter's difficulty was just right. It was my first time encountering the funny that comes with having no cooldown on your abilities. Did you know 5+ black holes stacked on top of each other have the suction power of a trained prostitute?
Storytelling:
Very fun. Felt like a proper DnD campaign which is what my expectations were for events. There was also a very good balance between serious moments, strong character moments and light hearted moments to relax after the more heavier scenes. It started with a near unbeatable boss that taught us what to expect. On our journey we faced many other bosses whose move set was then integrated for the final boss. Really cool!
Fairness:
Not once in this event did I feel like I'm being actively fucked over. Except one time when I taunted Mal, which was funny so I don't mind it.
Overall: 10/10 - It was the ideal first experience for me, and I'd definitely recommend Mal events for others.

Which Event: Hunt for the Past
Responsiveness (Were their narrations posted within a reasonable time-frame and were they quick to respond?): 10/10
As usual, the time in between posts and narration was ideal and fast paced. We had a few moments where we were allowed a breather, but overall the pace of the story was moving at a wonderful speed.
Balance (How entertaining were the battles, and any obstacles/traps?): 9/10
i deducted a point for it because of the void eyes silliness but otherwise as previous it didn't feel like an insurmountable challenge; rather, the balance seemed equal to the type of task we were doing and the type of enemies we were fighting.
Storytelling (Did it feel like an adventure, did the content of the narrations meet your expectations?): 10/10
as this was a character-based story telling, it was pretty centric on one: but it was a good experience and development for those involved in the event. it honestly kinda felt like a d&d campaign as noted previously, which is a REALLY good thing imo. we had choices and options and whichever one we picked would lead us to a different situation. there was a comedic relief moment that served as a breather before we got our ass handed to us, and our first interaction when we spawned in truly set in depth the type of enemy we were facing. storylines intertwined, and the conclusion was wonderful.
Fairness (Were the punishments justified and earned, was the risk to reward ratio good?) 10/10
mal dm is fun dm

Which Event: Hunt for the Past
Responsiveness (Were their narrations posted within a reasonable time-frame and were they quick to respond?): Very much like the last event I was on with him running, all narrations and responses to the character's actions were responded too quickly. There was no long periods of waiting between narrations and I appreciated how he would give us a heads-up that he was narrating as well.
Balance (How entertaining were the battles, and any obstacles/traps?): There were a total of three boss battles, each had their own difficulty and provided a nice challenge. They had their own patterns and there were even little narrates during the fight that signified the boss was about to perform a specific attack which made it feel much like fighting an MMO boss as some of the others have already said. Over all a good time fighting them. (Boss music went hard as well) (the blackholes traumatized me)
Storytelling (Did it feel like an adventure, did the content of the narrations meet your expectations?): The story of the event as a whole felt like an adventure, and I feel as if each character got a good amount of development and interaction with each other, especially Nameless as it was captivating to watch him advance throughout the plot-line of the event.
Fairness (Were the punishments justified and earned, was the risk to reward ratio good?): The risk equaled the reward, and any injuries had were from those not adapting to the boss's patterns. The rewards earned were also unique and appropiately thematic for the event.
Overall:10/10 baller event
