The reincarnation of Vdali brought about by mankind's sacrifice, the invasion of the Demon King Indras of Atrellya lead to the discovery and incursion into the Hollow World: The deep prison beneath the Tower of Aetius forged by Enarr and used by the Pantheon. Forged of the sacrifice of Athelios' chosen, Lirael Equisol, and several of the pre-eminent Death Knights of Mementos, a cult to Vdali and Mortyl lead by the demigod Shiva, her emergence was immediately thrust into the violence and war to repel the Moonfall Coven and their demons from the shores of Meranthe, after their march commonly known as the Extinction that devastated over half of Meranthe.

The maintainer of the Blacklight Barrier that shrouds Meranthe and severs the power of Hel from demons to render them into magical beasts, shifting the flux of the occult away from madness, she is not often one for direct address to the masses. She maintains the appearance of a quiet, immense pale titan at fifteen feet, wreathed in black veils and white pearls, possessed of six arms ranging from the human, to the monstrous.

Residing in a temple in the Shadowlands beyond the wall of Martyr's Vigil when not stepped beyond into her Realm, her faithful were reforged from Mementos.

Rumors

The validity of these claims is up to speculation.

• Rumors say that the works of Shiva were done in tandem with Athelios, having orchestrated the seizure of Vdali's domain to undermine the seat of Enarr.
• Having taken consort of the now-deceased High Chancellor of the Republic of Paritas and founder of the Goldlight Order, Garret Richter, the line of the Richter family descends of her blood.
• With one of her nephilim having threatened to destroy the temples of Enarr, she is said to be plotting vengeance upon the gods of the Pantheon who backed the sealing of Vdali.
• Having worked with Azalea to reclaim the Vale of Aschaea, her extrusion of limbs is said to be from consuming the domain of the Weaver.
• Some claim she is actively encouraging the usage and learning of necromancy, given the freeing of the Oscuri from the Hollow World and an offer to reincarnate her disintegrated former champion from the sacrifice of a witch.

Lorekeeper - OOC

This is a lorekeeper: A character played by a DM that has an active role in the world. They are different from standard PCs as follows,

• Cannot join raids unless they're specifically a target; this includes all offensive battles.
• Cannot intervene through combat to prevent a capture or be intervened on.
• Should avoid roaming the map if it could potentially lead to hostilities unless disguised.
• Can host mini-events, spawn items, etc, with GM supervision. Also acts as a mentor figure and gateway to potential magic or plot hooks.
• Can kill / be a threat, but should do so with good reason and at a high standard.
