Let's talk about Stalls!

Aesirheim just got it's shops late-ish yesterday...if memory serves at least (at least late-ish for us CST folk), I managed to buy mine off of the heels of a scene, and very quickly spammed in some Mana Amnesias and Blackouts because I know those are pretty reliable sellers, before I needed to get offline for the day basically.

Then I slept from 12 to 3 because I was exhausted.

The shops just started to exist, pls, give us more than half a day to stock them up. (Which, I've done moreso now that I've had the chance)

I'm glad to hear you stocked it! Yes, I realize about five or six shops I listed are newer shops, and this was also partially a way for me to call you all out and make you actually stock. I hope the others follow suit!

I know the general consensus is to just grab a shop if you see an open one, but I really, really think unless you're certain you'll be able to keep it stocked well, that you should just leave it to others! I know everyone deserves an equal chance and this is just a game but it's painful to go around and see so many shops so empty so consistently. Am I really alone in that?

On my way to buy a stall and fill every slot with a 300 crown levitation potion.

Am I the only one who finds this entire thing a tad pointless? Just me? Okay-

i think the solution lies more so in adding more stalls and letting merchant characters fight amongst themselves for prime real estate.

not punishing players who don't really have the time or means to fill out an entire page, or whatever. Current staff intervention seems fine as is. No need to go more extreme.

There are 90 stalls in the game, by the way.

Not just in settlements, but scattered about the world too - and this isn't counting the vendors which people put into their homes/shops!

I think the current stall amount is actually relatively alright, the pain lies in seeing so many stalls with so little stock when you're sitting on a heap of stuff to sell that would clearly be better to the economy than little Timmy selling copper and adamantite ore!

Like I said, I know I go too far in punishment and such, so I was hoping we could brainstorm for a way to maybe, even just slightly improve the system. But it's starting to seem like no one has any ideas to do that. I'm not necessarily even saying we should go for a more punishing route, but maybe even rewarding players who keep their stock well kept? Like, maybe if you've sold a certain worth of stock every week, you'll get a free day added to your stall or something of that sort!

That seems over the top. If you have so much stuff to sell why don't you open your home and put up a shopkeeper in your house? You are fully capable of doing so! Or going around and selling your wares personally?
Just because you think you deserve a stall over "little Timmy selling copper and adamantite ore", doesn't make it true. People need to sell base stuff like copper and adamantite for the economy to be a thing. People deserve to make money.

You know, I wish that worked. Maybe I'll start funding people to go try to do that. I make enough at my stall to do it at this point.

Alright everyone who wants a stall but can't find one, who wants free money to buy people out-

Is what I'd say if people wouldn't most definitely charge insane amounts for that kind of thing.
