The Battle for Starfall

"It's a beautiful feeling, isn't it? Hope?"

The united tribes of Moxtli and the large army of Achyon clashed against one another- each with their own hopes of laying claim to Starfall island. Multiple battles took place over the span of many months with countless tribesmen and soldiers dying amidst conflict for the sake of their nation's ambitions. While bloodshed was not expected to serve as the foundation of a new Starfall, it proved itself to be inevitable. Outnumbered, the warriors of Moxtli used their proximity and familiarity with Starfall island as a tactical advantage, weaponizing the land to its full extent. Following the tedious, tiresome months of war... the tribes of Moxtli were successful in their defense of Starfall- cheering as a glimmer of hope manifested itself in the form of peace. Achyon and its forces were forced to retreat, silence reigning over the land as loud footsteps faded away into the horizon.

Finally, Starfall belonged to Moxtli.

Following Moxtli's initial intention to claim Starfall, a meeting was arranged between the upper echelons of both Osrona and the Moxtli council. After a peaceful conversation and some brief moral debates, an agreement was reached. Attached bellow are the new rules surrounding Starfall as well as a speech given by the mourning Iyali Chieftain...

You are all tired. You are all exhausted. I understand that... people of Moxtli. I know how many of your loved ones died in battle. I know how many mothers will be without husbands... and I know how many children will be without fathers. I understand, my beloved Moxtli. We did win against the tyrannical monsters of Achyon, yes, but our losses are painful. We can celebrate yet another display of our combined might... but we will also mourn the brave tribesmen that laid their lives down for our future- the future of Moxtli.

Thank you, my fallen people. I love you. May the spirits guide you to eternal peace.

To the tyrannical leadership of Achyon... oh how I despise you. Your people follow the Empire out of necessity, fear- to find a sense of false belonging in this sick vision of mechanism that you've drowned yourself in. You justify your regime with anecdotes of cogs and machines... but that is no way to lead a people. You've once again faltered before our might.

You surely ask why... but it's simple.

My people fight for Moxtli because they cherish it. Your soldiers fight for the Empire because they have to.

I have no more to say to you. It will not be long before Esshar is cleansed of the blight that is Achyon.

To those of you interested, I have many plans for Starfall... but I will announce them at later time... when my heart is no longer heavy.

Get some rest, Moxtli. You've earned it.

New Starfall Rules:

Starfall Island is now controlled by Moxtli.

Haruki Taiyang has full control of the Irradiated Shrine once Chancellor Yoshiko Taiyang delegates the shrine to her son. He is allowed to invite anyone who does not associate with Achyon. The invited guest will abide by Moxtli's laws and will be safe from assault.

Haruki Taiyang will be the sole link between Osrona and Starfall.

The UFC is going to continue in the fortress beneath the shrine, soon expanding to accommodate more patrons. This will not interfere with the Irradiated Shrine.

Every student and teacher at the Starfall Academy is promised safety by Moxtli. Students from Osrona and Moxtli will be able to fight out their differences if they have any, but they will not be seriously harmed.

While Osronans cannot freely wander into Starfall, they will not be attacked on first encounter. They will politely be asked to leave and to return with a travel permit, which can easily be obtained through Moxtli's leadership.

Osrona and Moxtli are neutral in terms of relationship.

"Take a chance to listen..."

Yoshiko never seemed to have noticed that there was war going on the island she has preserved for so long. And as a neutral party, the older Fox didn't seem to care or take sides. However, there is a few things that she would've at least liked to make clear to those who earned victory over Starfall's territory.

"I suppose this is the part where I say congratulations on your victory. I'm not here to say I'm proud and thankful. I cannot truly pick sides for whatever side that had carried a victory here I would continue to live my life in my shrine without hestiation or worry. However, there is something that I am thankful for.

Protection of the Island Starfall and all that it contains. A new beginning with an Academy soon to be built. If anything it puts at least a faint smile on my expressionless mien. Although, Alexios seem to enjoy it.

I have nothing much else to say except one or two things. I will be leaving soon to rest the rest of my years with my husband in Sheng. The Shrine's ownership will at that point be passed down to my son Haruki and the title of Chancellor once his training has concluded. If you'd like to say your goodbyes, you have a few years left my dears...
