An artificer is, fundamentally, a creator of magical objects and the backbone of society in Eternia. Much like scientists and engineers enhance our daily lives through technology, the artificers of the country of Esshar are inventors and maintainers of all things. They use runewriting to do so, as well as hands on craftmanship.
Mechanically, this is represented as a crafting tree, which can be accessed in the menu attached to your inventory. It costs 2RPP to become an Artificer, then another 2 for each upgrade, with 5 tiers in total costing 10RPP once you have reached the last tier.
Can I apply for custom items as an artificer?
Yes, absolutely! This'll typically involve a unique sprite, description, and the unique tag which highlights the item's name, with stats similar to a public recipe unless it's some grand project with multiple event materials, which we also encourage. Simply make a post in your journal using the following format, and you can adjust it as needed depending on the item:
What do the different tier of anvils do?
You'll likely notice that there are five types of anvils when decorating your house if you're in the crafting menu, each with an associated cost. If crafting from an upgraded station as an artificer, there's a chance your item will be given an uncommon, rare, or ultra bonus, which increases its stats. After an anvil has been used 150 times, it breaks and needs to be replaced, meaning it doesn't last forever.
With that out of the way, I'll now list all of the items in the artificer crafting tree under their associated tier! As a note, power increases a character's overall damage (all spells), and physical is a sub-damage stat that only increases abilities in the Armed tree. So a sword will generally be better for an armed fighter than a staff.
