Commendations shit. Rage thread.

Giving stats bad. Only renables the argument of admin favoritism regardless of if well established characters can get them or not.

Better method would be to recognize players through OOC means, such as a cute red star in OOC for two weeks.

imagine being angry over 15 vit and power that will probably never get handed out

i think that this is a genuinely terrible idea that will keep popular and strong characters played by popular people at the apex of humanity with absolutely no way to move them out of their position

i also think that it's a terrible idea because bias is absolutely, without a shadow of a doubt, going to happen. i was an admin in e1, i know that people that the admins liked got checked with excellents, amethyst is going to be given to the people who are in the In Crowd and 50% AP gain is Pretty Huge at 200+

guys i think they mean action points,

not ability power.

But I mean, I understand the incentive they're trying to provide behind making a journal... I guess.

give them more IP

if someone has 1 exalted and 3 intermediate/master they'll be stronger than your average player without being straight up "this character is effectively 30 RPL over you"

offer stat trades for RPP

that way it's equivalent to having attunements but better

straight stats are much more boring.
you could offer nifty things like healing a perm, too. that's effectively the same but cooler and doesn't feel unfair.

Nevermind I don't want to get into this.

I don't think it's a bad idea and it's funny how the community either seems to just meme all the time or they get up and arms over pointless things.

I think giving out an Activity Point modifer is alright. I personally think it should be toned down but I'm all for that, but when you start putting stats into the mix that is where I draw the line. That is a really bad idea, it's just dumb. The "good writers" and "good respectable players" will be rewarded with IP which they can buy hiddens with, which is the entire point of the Journal which is a great idea, I love it.

Instead of stats give out lootboxes, at each level you can either get more or a better lootbox. There are no direct mechanical benfits to this and I think we can all agree if someone is going above and beyond they can earn one of these.

Also, which ever admin deleted all the votes on that thread, shame on you. We voice our opinons honestly and then you do that. Come on.

I'm largely ambivalent on this, but I think thats an unfair assessment in terms of favoritism, tbh. Our current headmins (who I assume would have final say on these) are Tattles, Mouse, and Vriska. Have any of them ever given you the inkling they're likely to unfairly distribute this boosts based on cliques?

I didn't really mind the commendations but I feel like this is a good trade off. Allowing players to get more IP to be able to acquire more hiddens and be able to get more rpp in trade for stats so that they can get more hiddens, within reason.

This could also allow some protags or antags in the future, that appear to be getting some really good traction, and extra boost to allow even more interesting roleplay as they continue forth. Like if Hoovy does as good as he's doing with Blaidd in the future with a different character and this is a thing, give it to that man.
