Awaken, Grimblao [II]

The tireless march of the Ad Contra Deos continues.

Successful in their previous endeavor, the army of the dead appear through the rifts on the eastern side of Meranthe, closer to the foot of the volcano where Vdalion once stood. As before, the Undead bring with them the foundations for the next ritual; this time a foundational piece for a grand work of runesmithing, evocation and projection of flame. Designs of fire and sun are aplenty, a new ritual unlike the one before.

The bloom of Carnacus, like any other flower, would require the warmth and light of the sun. 
The usual one alone would not suffice.

And so they bring with them a solution - the Flame of Havoc. A disk in the sky, growing in size and intensity, so that it may bring the sought after bloom and enrich the means of unsealing Grimblao. The army of the dead takes position, and prepares to secure the site of a second ritual.

As soon as the stench of the undead reaches the mountain, The Inquisition is in flight.
The full might of The Faithful is called to descend upon those who follow the Godslayer to complete this foul rite. 

Only a few words leave the office of The Inquisitor...

"I will sooner set the jungle beneath this mountain ablaze with Dragonfire to choke you all out then allow this to go on... Be Ready.
I call not just upon The Inquisition, but all those willing and able to stand once more against this threat.

Devoid of fanfare, the recently awakened oni leader of Ogre Time calls upon willing mercenaries that have signed up under the aforementioned mercenary band. Those who fight will be paid, those who triumph will be paid extra and those who die or get injured will be given reimbursement for their deaths or their injuries.

Thusly, those motivated by money march due east. Bound not by morality or by duty to a compass, but by the possibility of earning a large paycheck for their efforts.
