Upon numerous requests for tutoring and education in various fields, fliers find their way into many cities across Meranthe.

The Captain-General of the Goldlight Order, Grey Aundeoth, will be holding lessons in certain disciplines. This spring, he intends to begin with Order, by popular demand. Upcoming subjects may include Chaos, Arcane, and Shadow Magic. While he professes an ability to teach Telepathy, the nature of those lessons is better suited to a one on one basis.

This time? A lesson in Stasis. All prospective learners are instructed to bring a few pieces of amber and orichalcum to work with. Five and twenty are recommended.

The Arcane is a metaphysical discipline. Stasis is one of the easiest things to learn, and the first bulwark against the madness that comes from Chaotic forces.

All that you require is the will to take hold of something, and never let it go.

More lessons are to follow, quote, "When I feel like it."

Another wave of posters rolls out, another notification from the Captain-General of a new lesson to be taught, in the arcane arts.

Today, a lesson in Chaos. Decomposition is the stated subject. The lesson is restricted to those over the age of 18 only, and security has been elevated for it. Participants are asked to bring a sum of briarwood - around 20, and a sum of Tyrium, around 5.

Those who participated in the lesson in Stasis are most advised to attend, and bring the results of their work from the last class. A fortified mind is strongly advised, though a thorough briefing will be provided ahead of time on how to endure exposure to the magic known for it's maddening influence.

Decomposition is the most fundamental aspect of Chaos magic, a sublimely useful art for refinement and- at times- destruction. It is fundamental to the practice of Transmutation and Transformation, the opposite side of the coin that is Arcane Magic.

Be well warned, chaotic magic does not play well with the mind. You will need to follow my instructions exactly, for you will be instructed in how to ward against Madness within yourself. The lesson in Stasis will suit you well for this. While I had originally intended to teach more of Order, changing circumstances request Chaos come to the fore.

I hope you have been experimenting and studying as advised. Your lens of Stasis will suit you well, here.

Further- keep well safe the products of these lessons, for we will be working them together into a finished creation in the end. If you miss a lesson, try to make up the missing piece, or create something else after the final tutoring.

Distortions in the skin of reality necessitate an alternate schedule- a timetable advanced. The next set of fliers go forwards, the third lesson. A mixture of Chaos and Order, this time: The study is into Alteration and Truth.

This lesson is noted to be most useful to those who had attended the prior lessons, with the lens of Stasis carved in the first being of specific benefit.

Participants now are advised to bring:
Amber, alongside Tyrium, orichalcum, and Briarwood again, to practice engraving an enhanced lens of truth
A blackout potion, alongside extra ky'iah, to imbue a solution of alteration

Once again, the lesson is restricted to 18+ for the nature of the Chaotic segment - though all ages may attend the lesson on Truth, if they believe they can handle it.

Truth. Alteration. Some believe that because one is order and the other chaos, they have nothing in common. They would be wrong. Both are disciplines of the Arcane, and both have overlap to a limited degree. Each represents a step closer towards the combined art of Transmutation and Transformation.

Truth, the capacity to define. To make the unknown, known - yet with enough force, the capacity to impose truths, to make things true.

Alteration, the capacity to change. That of undefinition into a wildcard, of transforming the quality of an entity into something subject to the whims of the caster- yet without Order's stability, it cannot create anything that lasts.

Each of these piece together towards the final art of making fundamental and permanent changes to entities on a fundamental level. Those who have already studied Stasis and Decomposition will find it a subtle jump- as once one can manifest the requisite field, the other subdisciplines are easier.

The next set of fliers go forwards for the next lesson. A mixture of Chaos and Order, like the last time: The study is into Madness and Contract.

This lesson will be most useful to those who understand telepathy, and those who have already applied Chaos, Stasis, and Truth in the past.

Participants now are advised to bring:
A scroll and a cobalthine for the creation of a basic contract
And a stable mind for the instruction of madness.

Due to the nature of contract and madness magic, the whole lesson is restricted as an 18+ event.
Unlike the other events, this one will be co-taught by the high sorceress Muse Eros!

"Madness. Contracts. The two hardest to apply schools of order and truth. It is for this reason that I expect nobody who is priorly uninformed will show up to this teaching.

Madness is the act of shifting the perception of reality, be that in yourself or another. It breaks minds, definitions, and is in many ways the most raw application of chaos that one can use.

Contract is the natural opposite of breaking reality. It is enforcing a set truth by strict laws and guidelines. A contract is anything between a paladin's oath, and a witch's black book.
Each are bound to leaving permanent impacts, unlike the schools of the last lessons. With these final steps, you will be prepared to step into the arts of the arcane."
