In Respect of the Lost, of Past and Present.

After the devastating and ubiquitous end of two of Serenity's citizens, there was...silence. Beyond a call to hunt, there was a stringing silence that seemed to drag on, at least until now. Preparations made for a proper send off, for one of Ualdir's children. And seemingly, the same of those who never got the self-same honor.

"In respect for those lost in that tragic incident, I'm thinkin' it's time proper rites be held.  And in that right, I will do my best as Consul. But in reflection; I've come to realize just how many we have lost. And let their names slip to the wind without a final word of their lives, and their loss. As far back as I can remember, we've survived onwards without reflecting on those pasts which've brought us here."

"That just ain't my style. And here, now? I will change that. No loss will be made to slip beneath recognition. No death, too small. I ain't a sentimental man, but I'll do my best."

"But on that note, if there are ANY who bear the beliefs of Ualdir..or at least know enough to give this Cowpoke some direction, do send to me by letter. I want to make sure this is done right."

A rite for those recently lost...and a word on those long-since lost. A chance to amend at least one mistake.
