In less than 2 years' time...

The numbers of cultists had grown notable enough to earn the attention of magi abroad Meranthe...
From garnering the predatory sights of aspiring necromancers in the area, to the ever-watchful eye of Elzara Guards dispatched from Delphina. The nonmagus cultists praying to their newfound Patron were slaughtered effortlessly. Torn asunder by the wrath of superior magus might...
Their supposed patron, seemingly never stepped forth to spare them of their fate.

Perhaps it is evidence of their lack of ability?
Could it have been that such had never existed in the first place?
Despite the blessings cast upon the land once tainted by necromancy -- the haunting presence remains.
With the first wave of Elzara soldiers dispatched to investigate the site brutally sacrificed by an unknown party? 
A small skirmish between Elzara forces led by Cielia Meanderwing appears imminent by the residual cult forces.
It would appear that there were few magi amongst their ranks.
