Transitioning away from ability apps
#41
Instead of current influence, I believe influence should be counted by total influence gained within the settlement because if it's current influence it will discourage the usage of the commander/master of coin/etc spells since they cost 10k influence on their own. It'll also stop someone from going "hey lend me X influence so I can get my sig" Also, yeah increase the initial requirements for master

A lot of spells within the sig list needs to be switched around.

Soul drain to Exalted, the great waves to exalted, ThunderKing to Mythical.

-Null to mythical
-Most of the toggle sigs to mythical
-Shadowflame, holy fire, holy lightning, harmonic attunement to mythical
- the powerful atk spells are fine at exalted

Maybe a thing that says you can switch your master for an exalted upon meeting the requirements.

These are some things that instantly come to mind

PLEASE HAVE SOMETHING THAT ORGANIZES AND UPDATES THE SIG LIST WITH PROPER TIERS THAT CAN UPDATE REGULARLY.
can get a group of admins/players willing to work together/discuss what belongs where.

So does that mean holy/occult are mentor only now?

Personally I think its fantastic since applications are a horror for players and the appmin team, will save a considerable level of time and effort for everyone involved. I am curious if players will still be able to get multiple hiddens via this system? Say for example someone has obtained over 300k EXP and has obtained a Master or Exalted thus far. Would they be able to pursue this further or is it a one and done scenario now.

Also, 30k EXP for Master should be raised up to perhaps 50k ish. I say this due to seeing Holy Fire in the list and a severe personal prejudice for the spell being classed at such a low EXP investment.

Pretty much what others addressed. Are you able to get two signatures if you reach certain EXP thresholds? Or is it one time thing only & at best you can replace your Master for Exalted and that's it?

Are you able to apply for signatures that are not Mythic? For example, what if someone wants Master/ Exalted instead of Mythic? Would it be treated under same scrutiny too?

Also, make sure to carefully update list with all signatures. I see a lot missing. I also see some repeat, such as Pandenorium Drive - it's listed in both Exalted & Mythic.

>Runecasting is mythrical tier now

I'm sorry what? I mean ok it is a great castbuff but it is no where near anywhere on par with some of the other things that you see in the mythical territory

reminder that mythic is now lore heavy sigs, not [necessarily] power heavy sigs.

What would sword stances plus Aether be then? Is Aether like a Pesudo Mythic?

Also what about people who where already doing alot of dev for a sig? I was deving Super Magi for months 8c

So... I have one problem with this. Having only one accessible signature (unless you're going for a mythic) is going to have a lot of people apping for mythics for their dev (because devving and progressing for your character is such a huge part of your character!).

It also means that some people are going to look at some of the abilities and go "Yeah, I -could- go for this... But it's not as optimal as this. So I'm going for this instead." Rather than something that fits their character, they're just going to minmax.

I think we should potentially allow people to go for multiple sigs, either with apps, or with super high requirements, or something. Because also we have a lot of this current generation of really strong characters rocking *multiple sigs*... And now nobody will have a chance to catch up with them.

What I recommend: Allow for up to two masters, or 1 master 1 exalted. There's lots of things that fluff well together that have really strong IC together. Heck, there's some exalted where I feel like it REQUIRES the earlier things. The Gaze and Wildcard, etc.

Make Commendations = Progress if we're going to include Influence.
Kinda cool at least for people who don't closely tie themselves to settlements or people who are just making cool rps and all.

Also, would we be able to go for an ability early via application? Exalted, mainly.

I agree with this pretty much. No reason to have a limit really. Just give a free one and then require apps there will be less apps overall anyway.
