YOU ARE NOT IMMUNE TO PROPAGANDA
#1
As tensions grow within Meranthe, the West prepares itself for another war. A war where swords don't clash against shield, but rather, pen fights against pen! With The Republican's journal on the horizon, the Institute has programmed their drones to yet again work on more supporting power to aid Midpoint Daily in this combat between mind and information!

Drones roam around the many cities, often in a self-destructive manner, planting posters and papers alike upon the boards of most towns in Meranthe. Some are destroyed on sight given the current war, others are not smart enough to find their way within the cities, and some are unlucky enough to simply be eaten or destroyed by the wildlife (demons and magical beasts alike).

Nonetheless, they come in masse - every day more and more of them march upon the country. Hardly carrying any sort of combat abilities, they seek to annoy the other side as much as they can.

And once their mission is completed. There is one thing left to do.

Chant, chant until they are destroyed, chant until their batteries run out, chant until their energy is gone.

"Glory to the Institute. Glory to the Institute. Glory to the Institute. Glory to the Institute."
"Glory to the Institute. Glory to the Institute. Glory to the Institute. Glory to the Institute."
"Glory to the Institute. Glory to the Institute. Glory to the Institute. Glory to the Institute."

Those that wear many faces smolder in the dead of night to plaster their own rebuttal to the Frontier's half-hearted measures to defame the Republic. With fire the Frontier fights, with fire shall it burn. The propaganda wars have only begun, and it's clear who intends to win on every front. Just as the tenets of duality ordain: the enemy's tactics are fair game to reflect.

Many faces carry posters around, plastering them over Frontier's owns as they fight to dominate the boards of Meranthe. The Republic's skills were not unnoticed, thus the drones would have to take proper measures to counter-attack the [REDACTED] advance in the Propaganda War.

Though the march of the drones did not stop - now they are backed by smarter models, equipped with boosters and anti-magi tasers to prevent CERTAIN INDIVIDAULS from fighting back with their own posters.

They are also equipped with a very convenient arm capable of slapping the propaganda around in one swift motion.

"We march. Forward. We march. Forward. We march. Forward."
They chant, endlessly, as the journey of the drones seem to only extend itself throughout the country.

Into the walls, they glue their propaganda. Into the boards themselves, eyes would gaze upon the works of the Marketing Team of the Institute.

But... what is this?
There are reports of a batch drones slapping REPUBLIC'S PROPANGADA on top of the Republic's own posters! Not only that, they seem to be singing a different song than the other drones.

"FORGIVE AND FORGET!" they chant, floating inside the walls of Dal'thala, handing posters to citizens and travelers alike.

"DO NOT ASK QUESTIONS!" they exclaim, a group of drones moving into the city of Aegis, the same propaganda being delivered to the residents and glued to their walls.

What comes after a sudden turn of events is but an announcement from the Institute itself. One directed towards the Republic specifically.

"After we win the war, we will be happy to open our very own workshop on How to Make Propaganda: 101 to the public.
We will be happy to offer first row places to the members of the
Republic!"

"Glory to the Institute."

As the Frontier's Propaganda machines begin to propagate around the continent, some people and places don't exactly take kindly to this development.
-
Labelled as a disturbance of peace and an unwelcome presence, especially in the nature-weaved lands of Delphina, two POINTS are made.
-
The first, a remnant of a drone left outside the city walls along with its pile of posters:

The second, a declaration screamed out by a prominently annoyed goblin put into sign form - hardened oak of varied quality:
Quote:
WE ARE NOT A JUNK YARD.
GO AWAY.

More small pieces of paper are strewn about, this time coming from Azalea herself.
Quote:
I am disappointed.
The use of hypocrisy, after being upset by my likeness previously, disappoints me.
Even moreso by the spreading of me being a necromancer, when this is more than a lie. Something incredibly obvious, when given a thought!
Necromancy is a profane art that harms the world and lifestream. I do not like it, and it is why I purify the spirits that were forced back so they may instead have a choice.
In fact, this propaganda specifically harms me. Greatly.
If I begin to receive letters about this, or hear that there are those that believe this, I think I will start to have serious problems.
Enough, please. Thank you.

With the recent request of Dal'thala to not intrude upon the beautiful and majestic forests, the drones previously stationed around the city begin to immediately take down any and all posters from The Frontier (though, they would not do the same favor for the ones of the Republic), leaving they out of this mess of a war. It is a process that would not take long, perhaps a few hours to fully strip the city of the Frontier's presence, and the drones (if not destroyed) remove themselves peacefully without any trouble.

Although the forest is safe from them, the rest of Meranthe would not be. As they leave them alone- so does a new army of propaganda drones float, carrying the last batch of posters made by the Marketing Team of the Institute, financed by Dryden Industries.

"SILENCE THE VOICE OF THE REPUBLIC!"

They echo, delivering the final judgement before the great battle of the West against The Republic.

Pasting their last propaganda posters across the cities.

One last convocation to war. As we approach to the final months before the decisive battle, the drones push further their recruiting propaganda.
To stop the Republic from growing.
To stop them from spreading lies.
To stop them from standing against mankind.

A final calling to those who have not yet picked a side.
After all... the absence of an answer, is an answer too.

oh, yeah.
The drones also carried some old and out-of-style posters so the Institute isn't filled with them anymore. Apparently they made it in bulk and no one was willing to buy them...
have fun with them, Meranthe!

Besieged by the supremacy of the Intitute's Marketing Team, all hope seems lost for the Republic's rather wanting Ministry of Information. Despite setbacks in both style and substance--made too painfully clear by its humiliating defeat at the Frontier's propagandist machine--it trudges forward, galvanized by the enemy's example. The war must be fought on all fronts, and to adapt, the Republic would do well to humble itself.

Adaptation is not always seemly to those that require its undertaking, and it's evident who needs to up the ante. Victory cannot, at the best of times, be assured through dignity alone--for there is precious little in the bloody affair that is armed conflict.

It appears a new poster has begun to crop up in every corner of Meranthe, seeking to make the propagandists of the Frontier proud.

Quote:I will admit: your posters have been outright flattering. Perhaps we have lost our way in showing the enemy kindness; we stand to learn much from you. Hopefully you will find our latest issue a show of penance, and a more charitable depiction of your estimable nation.

As with many things within things within the Republic, silence is followed by action.
Printing presses churn, and messengers dutifully carry out the will of the Republic across Meranthe.

And a final one, seemingly quite pointed...

The last push is at hand...

"WE SHALL FIGHT TO THE LAST!" echoes through Meranthe, as drones are destroyed into pieces, as the 3-As that make the armies of Ares are destroyed.

And through the cities of the West, it is where support must be given. Where the last, final, bits of propaganda are posted.

No... it is not propaganda. It is moral support.

"Show them the West's might."

"Glory to the Institute."
"Glory to MANKIND."
"NO DOUBT. NO FEAR. MARCH WITH CONFIDENCE."
