The Setup
(Because why not?)
-
Druidism, the process of a magi focuses mana circuits to join with the latent mana of their environment, becoming one with it for a time in body, mind, and spirit. It is an ancient form of magic of many different names that is practiced throughout the world of Eternia. In the old era of boundless wilds and a land rich of mana did druids thrive in many corners of the world.  For many reasons however, the practice isn't as widespread as it once was, especially in the many nations of Meranthe. Those who continue to do so tend to be found in remote villages and isolated groves, their techniques obscured by strange rituals and esoteric philosophy. Some rituals they inspired can be found in the background of some nations, but the more involved techniques, such as shapeshifting into beasts, remain held by an ever dwindling number of rural practitioners.
-
Some say that the form of magic is stuck in winter, declining as the world moves on without it, but when winter seeks to bring rot upon what once was dose spring seeks the birth of what can be. A faint rumor around some small communities is predicting a wild surge of flow within the lifestream around Meranthe that will stoke the mana of the land once again, a rumor peddled an old druid whose location and form are ever shifting. Whether that vision becomes true or not this druid sparked a curiosity for what such a surge could bring, what it could offer not only the land, but the future of druidism in Meranthe. Some await this surge to come dreaming, but you aren't content to simply wait for its arrival, for you intend to grasp it before it's yet to dawn. No matter your origin you seek to find a connection to the land, gathering with other likeminded youth on a collective journey to rediscover what isn't so easily taught, and perhaps even forge a new chapter in the ever changing cycle of the druids.
-
That is, if there is an interest for such arcs within the collective story at this time.

 The Hook
   (Proto-druids) -
-
A bunch of likeminded proto-druids spawn in before druids are mechanically available, collectively working together to rediscover the lost traditions of the practice so that by the time of 2.1 they would all, hopefully, have enough justification to be approved for the long awaited class when it releases. This is an effort of equals, with no central leader, governed collectively by the druids for the druids. There may be no rpl boosts for this hook but there is also no commitment mandated, no qualms over new players or alts, and little to no risk of getting left behind on this collective endeavor (unless everyone AFKs, which is always a possibility).

 The Meta
   (Oh no) -
-
If you see potential in this hook then message tyreana over discord that you are interested in this experimental emporium of equals. If enough people show interests then this emporium shall become ACTIVATED. If that happens we will seek to coordinate on the kind of angle we want to approach this hook from, what theme of druids we will be, and how we will establish initial IC.
-
This post is largely an interest check to see if anyone wants to get a head start in working towards druid we'll having some interesting stories along the way. I am uncertain if there would be much interest for a grassroots hook like this but I am willing to be proven wrong. Even if I'm not the reactions to this emporium alone would sate my curiosity on how people would feel about similar hooks in the future.

We will see.

After some consultation and consideration, the nature of this hook, for those who choose to follow it, will be tweaked.
-
Rather then trying to gather enough people to strike out on our own, it would be more likely a druidic group would be sustainable if grown organically.
-
Serenity makes the most sense given the opportunities to grace the lifestream there, so if their where to be a place for wayward druids to gather, that would be it.
-
Perhaps we will meet, perhaps we will not. Perhaps we will collaborate, perhaps we will push each other by.
-
But their is an opportunity to gather, an opportunity you can take if still curious.
