Final Frontier : Wayfinding Lessons

In the new year, the billboard of the Final Frontier holds a new announcement about classes teachingabout the art of Wayfinding, a very specific kind of magic not easily available for the average magi.

Greetings,

The last year of 2082AC has been rough and difficult to Meranthe as a whole. The Fel continues to stride in our roads, ambushing innocents and lone travelers to fuel their nefarious deeds.

To remediate this issue, I am willing to spread my knowledge of Wayfinding to the newer generation of magi wandering in these lands. While this does not solve immediatly the issue, this form of art can be beneficial for all sorts of magi to help others to travel in between regions, avoiding the current dangers in the wild.

What is Wayfinding you may ask ? It is an art of magic based upon the Primordial of Travels : Chireus, that helped them to travel in between places to deliver messages to the Pantheon. Very simply : it is teleportation magic.

This art can be achieved by any certified magi. Being able to runecast or runewrite is a plus. You do not need to be an artificier either to join us.
Younger than adults may be struggling with such art as it requires a huge consumption of mana, in which their circuits are not entirely developped yet. But the knowledge and theory can still be helpfull in due time.

The classes will be divided in third parts :

1. Understanding Wayfinding and how it works. Lifestream lesson. Safety and precautions.
   
2. Practical exercice in runewriting and first trainings.
   
3. Practical supervised exercice.
   

While there is more to learn from it, these classes will only be about creating portals. Nothing else. I also expect personnal trainings and experimentation will be needed to achieve a comfortable level of practice.

Some days later after the first lesson, a new note has appeared on the billboard.

The first class have concluded successfully, thank you for all that attended.

Due to a very specific demand because of time constrains and else, the next class will start very soon.
I am aware it is too early, so if not everyone can't attend the next class, there will be a second chance after.

I am also setting the date for the third class

During the night when the classes were supposed to be held, the desert was struck with a cold abnormal mist.

The populace has seen the teacher investigating this abnormality, only to return later past the schedule. A note has been added.

My apologies for being late. I had to investigate some paranormal activity in the desert that brought this cold mist. Fortunately, no casuality to declare.

As the medical classes concluded with four new graduated doctors, it is time to restart another cycle of wayfinding classes. As the Fel keeps roaming in the roads, I am willing to teach this art to help magi escort people between settlements safely, while also providing support logistic support.

Around Solais, the populace of the Frontier has witnessed a lot of magi attending the class. Almost like twenty of them? It could be counted more than the fingers on both hands. A note has been added on the announcement.

A warm thanks to everyone who attended today at the class ! The second class will happen soon to not lose track of the subject. This time, we will exercise runecasting and practice our first portal. Pay attention to the date.

Due to scheduling issues, I will delay the class shortly to another day.
Considering also the number of people that came on the first class, I will have to start it earlier so I can have time to check and answer everyone during the practice.
For those who can't come, I invite you to write me a letter so we can set a catch up date.
This allows at least more time for you to prepare your homework before the next class !

Second lesson : Thursday 23th November at 4 PM EST

OOC Note : I have accidentally set the second class in the middle of an event that was planned before I set the date. So I don't want to step on their event by respect.

Also since there have been a lot of people at the first class, I will have to start earlier otherwise I the class will end at 4AM when I have work. This one class can be lengthy depending on the interractions.

After a moment of recovering from sickness, someone inquired me to teach the arts of Wayfinding once again. As public medical classes are behind held at the Citadel, I will resume my teaching duties directly towards Wayfinding then.
Despite the Djinn Dyaus Prithvi preparing some classes soon at Dal'Thala, I was specifically asked to hold such. Considering our different schedules, you are free to join any of the classes, or even both if you would like to broaden your horizons if you can. Dyaus is also a very skillfull mentor.

To the students who have followed my previous classes, I invite you to come for the last lesson where you will attempt to teleport yourselves for the first time. This exercise will be supervised, so you will be safe. I do hope you have practiced your technique meanwhile !

For those who still need help to refine their portals or have not attended the previous classes, you can still come and attempt a portal with another stone toss exercise.
