An Aged Man

Everything is okay.

From seemingly nowhere, flyers would appear all about Aphros' streets. Even though the Pontifice of Aspera has been missing since his capture, it is his direct notice which is relayed. Everyone of Aphros; the citizenry, the knights, the clergy, the crafters, the healers. The Astral. The Umbral. Those still lost or denying either path. And those who embrace both. All who are not Fel are asked to attend his next sermon. 

I had a dream, last night.

In it, I saw a lost little girl. Misguided by pains she wasn't given the answer to. Spoiled by unconditional love, yet blind to see it. In my dream I saved her. Heard her out and guided her to a path where she could find purpose, and know joy. But in reality I was too late.

Virtu Equisol is dead. And I refuse to celebrate that.

So instead I want to talk. Talk to all of you, my beloved people. The beautiful people of Aphros bereft of the guidance they need. If there's anything I know from my many years on this star, it is that all of us are lost. None of us have all the answers. None of us can do it all on our own, and some of us try. We take on the pressures of life, and let it crush our shoulders in a denial of the hand which could help us. Nudge us in the right direction.

I am the Pontifice of Aspera. Bell Austwin Montelione. Beacon of all which is Astral.

But I hold my hand gingerly to those who uphold the Umbral.

Only by knowing both, can we forge ahead. In unison.

Let my hands nudge you towards your destined path.

Because you are more than you know.

Aphros' peace, and our love will never end. Not so long as I draw breath.
