A transparent, glassy gem that holds a dim glow to it. If one were capable, they could contain mana and magical power within, as it passively absorbs nearby light. Typically it shimmers a gentle gold, but the color will change depending on the affinity. The brighter the gem is, the more fuel is present; the dimmer the gem is, the less fuel it has left. These gems are rather fragile as a strong blow from a hammer can easily shatter a palm-sized gem. Supposedly they can only be found in Elfame, land of the butterfly's final flight, the Realm of the undying.

Both fortune and misfortune alike are pushed to their utmost when owning the coin, allowing one to otherwise push their luck to a singular extreme. By flipping the coin, any chance-based result will instead be pushed to its utmost. It is said to have a limited number of uses, before eventually running out of the power contained within.

The Authority of Ether comes in the form of a pendant that, when worn, generates etheric wings upon one's back in conjunction with a crown situated above their skull. This brings a form of controlled levitation and flight, as etheric suspension serves to lift them off of the ground. Through this pendant, one's unrefined ether flows almost akin to blood from their veins and is controlled with greater effectiveness. It is said to be highly sought after by those looking to master their control over their ether, and also rumored to have hailed from Enarr's personal blacksmith, Helthion. The veracity of these rumors, however, is largely uncertain.

A simple process of grinding will yield a sparkling, rough powder ready for use. It can only be found within the Gotaal icebelt.
