Meranthe Auction House - Chance - 07-02-2023

Throughout the Realms of Merathe there are several highly regarded auction houses that frequently offer notable goods, from useful, rare trinkets to powerful enchantments.  When such an event takes place the markets is abuzz with the noise of bartering, the hustle and bustle of the denizens of the land. The flash of the afticers lair, the fizzle and pop of the alchemists abode, and the surge of powerful magic from the runewriter's guild! Is there anything for sale lately that might catch your eye?

Rules of Conduct
  • You may only bid on one item per round. You bid by posting, including your character name & amount of coin, and your bid must be at least 10% higher than the previous one.
  • Bidding remains open from 24 hours of the round post. Unsportsmanlike behaviour of the 48 hour rule will be investigated and rectified. Only bid if your character actually has the coin available at the time of your post, and you should not be sharing coin with another to maximize chances of success; your coin is your own once you place a bid.
  • Some items may be sold in multiples and these have a set price to them, marked. They're first come first served.
  • You may respond to bids with in-game action after the auction concludes, but not during.
  •  If your character has not been actively roleplaying within the past week you're not permitted to bid or use a middleman to do so for you. This includes passing off coin to help others.

RE: Meranthe Auction House - Chance - 07-02-2023

Name: Transceiver Schematics
Cost: 45,000c (Three Available)
This invention is considered to be the pinnacle of artificing, originally conceptualized based on the telepathic waves that the mind is capable of producing. An elegant, metallic handheld device that has space for the user to input keys to send written messages up to a thousand miles away. Transceivers on the same network receive the message after a brief lag delay. This has been employed in elite squadrons of magi across Meranthe for battlefield communication, though its high cost of production and the skill level required to artifice the device makes it particularly rare.

You are purchasing the schematics of a transceiver, not the actual device. This includes detailing on the different parts, how to put to together, the wiring and the rune network - The sigils and glyphs, and how to align them. Only a skilled artificer (tier 1) can master the recipe.

Name: Aetherblossom
Cost: 50,000c (Three Available)
A spectral, wispy flower. It is rarely found outside of the Tower of Aetius, as it seems to only grow where the leylines of Eternia converge with the netherworld. On full bloom, an Aetherblossom is far more potent (and unstable) than even the golden dust of a fae, and is used in demanding alchemical recipes and rituals.

Name: Soulsteel
Cost: 30,000c (Five Available)
An ingot of 'iron' harvested from the outer worlds of the spirit realm, lending to a weapon's ability to rend the internal flow of magic rather than the flesh alone.

Name: Spire Shard
Starting Bid: 30,000c
A rare fragment of crystalized divine magic exported from the merchant isle of Agartha. Its bright and vivid state can easily attract one’s eye as the faintest shifting swirl within its crystals makes it clear that this item holds great latent power, attuning to any affinity and adapting to the mana that it is processed with.

Name: Imbrixium, Sword of Everlasting Flame
Starting Bid: 30,000c
A greatsword of flame, behemothic in weight and size, from the Esshar Roundtable Series. Burning everlasting, much like the feathers of a phoenix.

Name: Lightspeed Reading Glasses
Starting Bid: 20,000c
A pair of reading spectacles: the glass is thin golden oricalchum and enchanted to process text five times faster than usual when performing a focused ocular task, such as reading. This can strain the mind and users are advised to not use them for more than four hours a day. The glasses, when placed on, are attuned to the person's eyes and only influence them (but like most objects, maybe they can be repurposed?).
