Many have brought up entering the Prison of the False Divinity, the Tower, to Vaelrun in recent years. Yet he can never forget the foul utterances of that heretical idol upon the eve of the slaying of it's daemonic familiar. He cannot bring himself to risk entering the Gaol without a means to protect himself from Misfortune's prying eyes. After coming into contact and destroying many Scrying Crystals and scouring the archives of the Aphrosian Keep with the Oracle's assistance, he intends to follow a lead- to a ruin where Faithful of Athelios once moved into the Shadowlands to find.

While the event theme looks like a fun time, there's an issue here that you'll want to amend. Scrying isn't possible at a whim like that and Misfortune's realm is specifically the sea of swords. The Tower of Aetius is its own beast. So you're basically asking for something that's unnecessary, if that makes sense.

In all seriousness, to any DMs who are interested in this post: this event is formed due to Vaelrun's own warranted and personal paranoia, given the actions of the Cult of Misfortune.

The Rewards are the most flexible thing, and are not set in stone. This is simply the IC catalyst for him to feel 'safe' to attempt to assist others related to climbing the Tower.
