Make Mistform Intermediates
#1
It's just too good to be a basic. People have already dipped into water for the whip and beam, they shouldn't get such a strong utility spell available too. I want it to be obvious if my opponent will have mistform. If they're actually a full-on water magi. Water is already flooded with basics, please don't make it a freebie for people who want to pick up the whip beam.

Also, fix spikes. When people said remove spike's double tick, I'm pretty sure they didn't mean to remove the literal second tick of the spell. It used to triple and single tick with double being the (hopefully intended) norm. Pls give it back, 6 spell damage for a burst aoe that self stuns for 2 sec makes you lose rpbs for a 15 cost.

They shouldn't be allowed that much variety for a 15 rpp attunement. It leads to power building. Need a defensive filler? Mistform. Need a gcde cc for your combo? Whip. Need a combo finisher and all-around good spell? Beam. Water already has a fuck ton of basic spells and like two intermediates. Mistform imo is good enough to be considered an intermediate. I'm sure turning your entire body into mist takes some kind of mastery compared to a bubble, whip, and water gun.

I don't think water is in an insane spot, especially with how the stun meta was curb-stomped.

Water is the best elemental tree rn. Tidal Wave* is a seven tile wide drag. The basics to gain access to their intermediates are mostly useful.

I don't believe water compares to Earth-- pretty sure Earth is the best.
Mist form isn't super crazy. It's a pause in someone's momentum at best. Beam and whip aren't crazy either.

Riptide is something else. But I can't comment too much because I haven't seen it in action post-stun nerfs. Riptide used to live off stun chaining 4+ stuns. Now that's not entirely possible.

Mistform is easy to smack through if you know the timing, and water's been through multiple nerfs on the whips part, just don't spam everything when they commit mistformpuku, use your eyes and ears for the sign of it - in my perspective water magic (specs excluded) combo is the easiest to read.

And for non-water magi to invest in it would be less likely since the new RPP cost is very high compared to Spires, only those crazy enough would do it. [Image: 576386080987676692.gif?v=1] (Like me)

(Spike on the other hand is just equipped with a dumb huge range compared to the previous version's back in Spires so it's probably fine anyway, and now let us [not] discuss about how buffed earth branch is before they nerf it.)
