Pariah - by Sword or by Star

Quote:The above is the front cover of a strange pamphlet, a free copy of which is now included with every single purchase from Lucky Finds. Its first page holds an attribution - personally signed by the store's proprietor, Clover.

The second page contains several dedications.
The first is to Majin mir Okabe, the second to Amnon, the third shared between Myrine and Foster, and finally, a dedication to 'all who demand a world better than this.'

It is on the next page that the contents proper begin.

We at Pariah, much like the Celestial faith, hold that the first world was one of unparalleled, infinite conflict. The strife between two antitheses - of angels and great beasts - grew tiresome, with the greatest of the angels fleeing with his heavenly host to create a new world. Much as we respect and admire our creator, we at Pariah hold that there are fundamental flaws in this world as well, ones that we aim to correct.

These flaws center on the agency of mortal peoples. For too long, we've been at the mercy of powers far greater than us - just as the angels were at the mercy of their 'god.' We aim to repeat the process that gave birth to our universe - to create our own iteration of reality, with no angels, no Primordials, no divine power.

In the world we will create, there will be no power over man. Humanity's destiny will be humanity's design. This universe has remained stagnant for far too long.

There are those who will call our aims - true freedom from fate, from tragedy - delusional.
These are small words, from small beings, trying to attack what they don't understand.

To this end, we hold no quarter, no exception to what we allow, short of direct aid to those very powers we aim to resist.

The torch has been passed - from God, to our Creator, to Pariah.
Kraus's creation was left unfinished, imperfect.
Ours will not suffer the same.

It's time to truly sever ourselves from this world of ashes and misery.
A better world is possible.

We at Pariah, with the collective will of humanity, refuse to accept that this cycle of calamity is the most we can ever strive for.

Just as Kraus refused to accept his own world's torturous war was the most the angels could ever dream of.
