It feels like yesterday that I arrived in Esshar, a fourteen-year-old Magnolian girl with nothing to her name and a legacy left behind. The life planned for me was nothing that I wanted, and thus, I left for the adventure of a lifetime. With only my book of fairytales, I came to this foreign land seeking three things:
Adventure. To become a hero. To earn a legacy.
I can proudly say that the life- the lives I have lived proved to be the greatest adventure I could ever ask for.
To live as a Vanirhallan warrior, proud to bear their tattoos and walk amongst their people. To fight in the name of Kark against the odds of Achyon who outnumbered and outpowered us.
To live as a Fireblooded Flame Herald. Reborn in the fires of Garjling’s Pool to live life anew as a warrior in Ryujin’s eyes. To walk amongst the dragons and feel empowered as one of them.
To live as an Osronan holy woman. To be a medic to all just as I was taught to be, to learn and teach about Kraus, and to educate the likes of a Stellus, Champion of Eos, Den Mother, and those who rose to nobility with our lessons.
To always walk with neutrality, to learn and become a part of the stories of all.
An honorary pirate of the Reaves.
A friend of vagrants and vagabonds.
Friend of Achyon’s commanders.
Guest of the Docros.
Friend of the Mire.
Holy teacher of five generations of magi across Esshar.
I thought I would be a knight, I thought I would die young as a warrior, but to live to this very year.
It is time I turn the page, to leave this life behind and everything I have taught.
Perhaps I never did get the legacy I hoped for, but I don’t need my name to be remembered or revered. I know the length my lessons have reached, even if they fall upon ears who do not know their origin.
But I have so many people to thank for this life that I was blessed with. So many guiding forces along the way.
I may not have gotten my legacy, my name might not be remembered as I once wished, but the life I led; the people who impacted me, and those I impacted, it was worth it.
It is time for the final chapter to be written, time for the last page to be turned, and for the story of Chaska Aevnass Ljoss Alder to end. To all that I have met, all I have known, I have one last statement to you all.

One Hundred Years Old.

Quote:Revna Hartvigsen, Dreyri Hrosa, Bodil Ulf, Ragnhild Gunnr, Paca Elementa:
My family and my teachers in my youth. The Vanirhallan who took in this poor lost Magnolian girl and gave her purpose. Taught her to fight. The mentor from Osrona who taught this foolish child medicine and how to tend to the people who had become her family.
Quote:Dorongar Hedor, Umbra Cysgol, Leilah Argyris, Caliban Valkrin:
Those who accepted me with open arms when I left the Vanirhallan for good when the corruption and greed of the Jarl became too much. They bathed me in Garjling’s flames and accepted me as one of their own immediately. Together at that wonderful cafe on the mountainside.
Quote:Howl Grace, Augustus Vorenii, Zhrani Gardios, Hollee Gelmont, Theomars Farwalker:
My students, akin to my children, I will never forget the lessons I taught you nor what I learned in return. To watch your families grow over these generations, to watch you all grow as people. Nothing makes me happier. You may not be blood, but you will always be family.
Quote:Haera, Elizabeth, Sasha, Orion, Freya, Julian, Aurora, Issac, Callisto, Kali:
My children, while many of you have left Esshar for your own adventures, I am so proud of all of you. To raise you, to watch you grow into yourselves, I had no better honor than to be your mother.
Quote:Caelum:
I’m sorry I will not be around to watch your little ones grow. Teach them well, I’ve given you many of the lessons I could impart. You are an Alder, always remember that, remember our ideals and our morals. I am so proud of the young man you have become. A proper inheriter of the Libram, a fighter for what is right in the world. You carry our legacy now.
Quote:Lucas Alder:
Without you, my life would not be what it is today. Without my knight, my mentor, my love, I would still be a lost little girl on the Baleford Bridge where you found me. The life we shared, the experiences we had, all the good and bad I wouldn’t trade a single thing for the world.
Until we meet on the other side, until we find each other in the next life, I will wait for you.
I may not have gotten my legacy, my name might not be remembered as I once wished, but the life I led; the people who impacted me, and those I impacted, it was worth it.
