Quote:You were once a renown fighter, protector of your homeland... The Vale, until one day, sickening forces attacked your people. The odds were hopeless, you were vastly outnumbered and unprepared,  in a last ditch attempt to stop the genocide, you performed a ritual where three more crystal hearts were infused into you. Unfortunately, the power had to come with the price, your mind went hollow, and so did your emotions.

You wiped out the army by yourself, leaving no survivors... You won, you repelled the attack, but at what cost? Beneath the rubbles of homes, and beneath the field of bodies- clearly more than one thousand man... There were your people as well. You were too late... You lost them.

Then, you remained inactive for decades on end, withering away, until suddenly, a party of adventures comes to the remains, the bodies of enemy and ally alike have long decomposed. And now you were sitting in a beautiful field of Sinka's.... Though, you saw those people as nothing more but another enemy who wanted to attack the Vale again, and so. You charged.

Your strikes swept them, but they were cunning, and tenacious... In the end, you slowly sinked to the ground, falling to your knees. With a thump, you embraced your brothers and sisters-in-arms, the trace of which have disappeared by now, and only an echo of the past remains in the form of Sinka field. Your journey ended at such somber note, being put out of your own, self-made misery... Or so you thought.

"Oh, my darling, you're awake! You're... Working, mhh..."

Quote:
Are the first words that you heard in a long while. Your body... Felt different, the cracks on your armor were replaced by living metal plates, your crystals were further enchanted by magical sigils and clusters of elemental crystals, you felt more powerful as barbed thorns and vines replaced your damaged cloak. And you weren't as empty- to an extent at least, perhaps some complex concepts will graze your mind, but you haven't forgotten the Art of War, it stuck with you even after your death.

Upon opening your eyes, you saw her... A beautiful sight, clearly a messanger from other realm no less. Radiating an extreme amount of power, she introduced herself.

"Welcome to Dreadwoods, darling... I am Cynthia Vanreth. And now you serve me and Dreadwoods as it's Defender. I hope you'll make yourself at home- no, I'll make sure of it, dear."

Quote:
For some reason, no doubts entered you mind... In fact, quite the contrary. You were excited, you couldn't wait to protect people, at least some kind of solace- redemption... Dreadwoods, though... The word itself resonated within you. Yes, you heard it before- no... You can feel it, it's very core is beating inside of you, the forest howls, and so do you...

"You are going to serve the cause of Knowledge well, those who invade us shall falter by your might..."

"They shall know you as..."

"Dreadlord."

WHAT ARE YOU:

- You are a Teraphim, you start out with 180 RPL and an Exalted stance of your choosing. You are seven foot tall war master, enclosed within heavy armor plate made out of several alloys that is most likely more durable than Nyeshk and Arcanium combined, but it does not make you any slower.

- Magics are up to you, but due to how close you are attuned to Dreadwoods, you have Occult magic unlocked right off the bat. As well as having attunement for Crystal and Nature magic due to your [Race] and [Core].

- You are half-sentient, and also Undead due to having no soul inside you, but essence and a replacement for a working brain. You won't die of old age but will surely suffer the Age DR!

- Your beloved weapon and armor were lost in the Vale, however! Your Master is a renown artificer and has resources to spare, she will craft you new gear, and perhaps later on... Special, unique items.

What is expected from you:

- Protect your Master, and the Dreadwoods from any pesky invaders! And remember, be loyal! No Traitor Arcs or some illusion magic telling you otherwise.

- Remember, you're not just some hefty chunk of a powerhouse, you're still a character. Although you start out as a blank canva, you have potential room for growth, as antag!

- Please be active, I don't want you to go AFK, only apply if you feel the drive and potential for long-term play! And will be available.

- First and foremost, have fun! And make sure others do as well, provide people with RP and RP yourself. Even if Cynthia is not always present there to command you... That doesn't mean you can't interact with the Coven!

Hope you enjoy this one! Have fun, and if you have any questions, feel free to contact me at Discord. (Niko!#3465)
