A hushed calm had enveloped the Citadel in the aftermath of the Gloomlight assault, as efforts were channeled towards the healing and reorganizing of its fractured militia. It is only in the wake of a certain ritual that the Aegis stirs once more, mobilizing amidst resounding, reverberating horns of war.

Discerning scouts bear witness to the troops marching forth, adorned with their familiar banners of gold and azure. They depart the frostbitten lands of the North and traverse westward, settling along the shorelines, ever encroaching on the domains of the Atrellyan invaders—the Ashen Tower.

Only a single declaration is made by the Chosen of Ualdir:

Twenty-five years.

Twenty-five years of sacrifice, twenty-five years of innumerable shedding—the shedding of sweat for our efforts, blood for our battles, and tears for our fallen.

Humanity prevailed when we eradicated one Empire of Fel, and yet these filths still dare to delude themselves that they can invade our lands, seek the blood of our innocent, and desecrate our hallowed grounds.
