How opportunistic that Gloomlight's people mobilized first- it was, at this rate, a race to see who could declare open season on the invading wolves...

The Demon Sage, Lord Ilysander, has not been seen for Thirteen Days and Nights. Last spotted with the Aspect of Apathy, Salem, at his side. In his absence, Lord Ingolf and the Supreme Mahatma have ruled the Crescent Fortress and spearhead a counter-offensive towards Gloomlight & Goldlight. 

Then on the thirtieth night, it appears high above the island: A Great Demon's Eye, a vortex of unparalleled mastery of Rift Magic. From it, the howling screams of the underworld- or perhaps Atrellya- can be heard. Winged demons, Three Thousand Strong, take flight and scatter like locusts, an unrelenting swarm that immediately scours off to nearby villages and towns, from small farming villages to poorly guarded fortresses...

The timing of the Walpurgis was no coincidence. Perhaps this was anticipated. 

An ever expanding darkness spreads from the island. The influence of man diminishes rapidly within the region. Calls from smaller kingdoms for aid are immediate: Stand strong on the frontlines, brave soldiers, or be overwhelmed.

A hushed calm had enveloped the Citadel in the aftermath of the Gloomlight assault, as efforts were channeled towards the healing and reorganizing of its fractured militia. It is only in the wake of a certain ritual that the Aegis stirs once more, mobilizing amidst resounding, reverberating horns of war.

Discerning scouts bear witness to the troops marching forth, adorned with their familiar banners of gold and azure. They depart the frostbitten lands of the North and traverse westward, settling along the shorelines, ever encroaching on the domains of the Atrellyan invaders—the Ashen Tower.

Only a single declaration is made by the Chosen of Ualdir:

Peace is never lasting, War and conflict, are a part of what it means to grow. It cannot be avoided. It cannot be stopped.
  
Mankind, in many ways, shares this principle.

The forces of Arcadia have not let up on their forces against the Artrellyan Demons. At the cost of their health, their lives, and their home have been risked in their onslaught against the Arch Enemy. Silence has come for the past few months, though rumors speak of equipment requested by all of their allies to bolster their ranks.

For they marched to War.

The once parched lands of Meranthe now quench their thirst, revived by the cycle of life and death.

As death begets life, the cycle renews itself.

Amidst this cycle, the Harbingers of Survival advance towards a tower, recognizing that when a predator grows too gluttonous, their full belly blinds them to the dangers ahead.
And once their desire for blood grows too big, it is time for them to be taken down.

The Hunters of Serenity depart from their oasis, venturing forth to confront those who once deemed them prey, to reclaiming their rightful place in the balance of nature.
