It has one heal and does only 8 SD (yes, it heals others but that never really comes into play unless you are on an event) and has no utility besides energy shield that is not even in it's actual tree, so maybe giving mend a little boost or having holy ground heal the caster and allies on the tiles would be a good way to help it be comparable to thematically similar magic trees?
Having mend cleanse you and your allies or give a temporary DR boost to the team for that priest support aesthetic/functionality could give it more character. It seems odd that every other tree with a heal has a better one than mend when it's the holy magic heal, the magic all about healing and protecting..
It's the shortest cooldown healing spell, with no repercussions attached. It's not even particularly mana intensive and is merely a basic. If it were to cleanse, and/or give DR as well it'd frankly just be better than the existing cleanse in wellspring tree in every way.
Wellspring also has an aoe heal for allies, a bubble that heals and is a shield, and an aura that heals 1:1 for power (I think?), if it had the same heal power as the others, I would expect it to receive a similar CD, it's ten seconds shorter than the full mana restore and 12 power heal of wound reversal and bone's heal does about the same just over time in separate ticks. It's not a post solely about mend though, but the feel of the holy tree in general.
Bone heal is on a longer cooldown, it also injures the user and is in quite a niche tree. The bubble that heals, will heal depending on the shield strength that remains, it also costs a massive amount of mana. It's an intermediate too. Mend is a basic and costs less RPP. The AoE heal doesn't provide healing to the user, and wound reversal is also an intermediate and frankly a little over-tuned given the time tree's overall utility. I don't think the answer to what is an already good spell, is to make it over-tuned due to a few examples which don't really mock up in comparison. The bone tree lacks a definitive identity past that of a supportive tree to a build, it can't be it's own thing. The same is quite true of wellspring, but it's entire identity is healing, whereas Holy isn't always about healing.
Holy can be represented in so many ways, it might be Kida's personal interpretation or his characters. That's a really cool part of holy, that it is so diversely interpreted, but we can't change an entire tree based on that. It'd also really over-tune mend as a whole.
