Fishermen know this cave to be perilous as it tends to sink fully into the depths during high tide, hiding the unique sealife and highly coveted minerals found inside. It is said that the heart of the beast still lurks further deep below...

The Depths

The Depths refer to the winding caverns that seemingly extend perpetually and further down. Subject to quite a lot of cave-ins, it used to be a profitable mining venture until one mining expedition caused an entirely new area of the Depths to open up, resulting in an outbreak of dangerous monsters from within. Said to extend so deep underground that it could very well lead into Eternia's core itself, the minerals and materials that can be plumbed from within are unique and can only be found in the Depths. Yet no sane mining group have gone deep enough to prove the veracity of this statement, especially as hushed whispers and drunken fables speak of a beast once sealed within it.

Glimmer Lake

Said to be the results of Mestra's unshed tears, fragments, forming following their death, as a glimmering meteorite cascaded against the sky in a flash of color. This beautiful lake shines effervescently with its waters often causing rainbows to form around and above the lake. True to the myth surrounding its formation, there is a vast wealth waiting to be taken beneath and within the lake.

Temporal Fissure

A peculiar crevasse that seems to be the sole notable feature of the islet it is torn into, sands and streams leading down towards an abrupt cliff into a dark and nebulous cavern floor where the falling water begins to lose an adherence to gravity and causality. Bending left and right, or even reversing entirely to rise from whence it came.

Wandering further may subject explorers to flickers of the vacant, cavernous halls instead occupied by those of a dark stone fortress that may have once been yet is no longer, or perhaps never was. Transient hallucinations that flicker away just as fast, affirming that whatever the case may be it is a thing that is not truly present in the here and now.

Yet the anomaly created in whatever turn of events had caused it to vanish very much is, and leaves much to be studied.
