Meranthe 1.5 & Role Hooks! - Chance - 03-17-2023 The March update, Meranthe 1.5, is soon to be upon us! Not only are we getting an influx of new spells, there are new features, quality of life improvements, and even a few race hooks to enjoy if you're looking for an easy in. This is scheduled for early Saturday afternoon, tomorrow. See the second post in this thread for the Goblins, Batkin, and Aen recruits role hooks!
![]() PREVIEW SPELL Gone are the days of relying on tooltips and others for spell information. Now you can use a spell at the click of a button, letting you preview it without purchasing. You can preview a spell at a time and there's no cooldown on switching between, though participants of a battle are alerted if you're using one! ![]() BOOKSHELVES
You can once again place books in bookshelves! See this guide for more information on that. GUARDING IMPROVEMENTS Now when you block, a guard gauge appears above your character. Your gauge is 25% your max HP. As you guard, it depletes, and so does the effectiveness; reducing from its maximum of 50% damage reduction. And if it hits 0% you are stunned for a few seconds, left vulnerable. Block's key has been changed to - as well, though this of course can be rebinded. MILESTONES Now at particular Level milestones you'll be rewarded a dungeon key! Starting at Level 150 and beyond for a total of three times. The goal here was to make the system more inclusive of new players and those who aren't wealthy.
DESCRIPTORS ![]() INJURE SELF A command that lets players inflict self-injuries! It was common to see tickets for injury requests with development reasonings, so no reason not to make this a feature. APARTMENTS You can now build a 'door' inside of a building to expand the interior and add a separate property within. This gives a building multiple private spaces / homes! ILLUSION MAGIC REWORK We've replaced Illusion's two basic homings (Darkness and Mind fray) with two new spells, and also given the tree a master ability with a lot of flare. ➤HYPNOSIS - BASIC: Dancing jesters follow the illusionist, and enemies nearby are confused. ➤BLACK MIRAGE - BASIC: Become shrouded by black smoke, distorting perceptions. Speed up, and when you hit your enemy, they're warped to a random location. ➤IMPRISONMENT - MASTER: After a visible charge, an illusory prison forms some ways in front; nearby enemies are entrapped and their view fades to black. FORTUNA Fortuna is a spell tree of four (though non-public). Each time you cast a card while the aura is active, your next spell cast's GCD is reduced by 1. Unleash waves of ravaging decay with the Card of Death, phase through matter with Space, and recover lost health with Hope. ➤FORTUNA - AURA ➤FORTUNA - HOPE ➤FORTUNA - DEATH ➤FORTUNA - SPACE ABSORPTION A public Ether specialization! The aura lets you view your opponent's mana and saps them when they're nearby. Whittle their MP down with spells like Null Ray, then use Flux to swap MP and deal damage for the difference! ➤NULL RAY ➤MANA ABSORB (AURA) ➤INVERSE CHARGE ➤FLUX - Intermediate MISC. CHANGES/FIXES ➤Grab ahead added to the key binding display (bound to G by default). ➤Fixes a bug with prop page numbers not displaying correctly. ➤Chest limit in mapped buildings increased from 3 to 5. ➤Batkin: A variant of beastkin, the Na'hrem clan are a reclusive bat-like peoples that once dwelt within the darkened borders of the shadowlands. Their caves have been infested by demonkind and they have immigrated to the mainland of Meranthe! They begin with Flight, Wild Nature, and a 5 Spell Point discount on Shadow and Sound. Apply via this form. ➤Goblins: The Óir clan. See this post for the details and apply within! Goblins begin with the Sticky Hands racial, a variant of Thief that has 25 Agility and steals 100% of coin on victory, as well as the Dancer passive.
