Perm Problem
#11
Yeah, I don't think boosters serve a practical purpose. If you want to encourage newbies to talk to alchemists, there could be a tutorial quest to try out levitation potions or some other basic t5. The heavy grind of boosters is discouraging and a weird fit for a RP game.

i only have perms on my current char cos people forced me to farm it with them cos i refused to give up 12 hours of rp

reduce rabbits feet cost, equalize rabbits feet to air crystal drop ratio, or make boosters give 2/3 of a stat per potion

mob grind is the actual antichrist in this game and I don't know why we've had to deal with it for so long

at least ore grind is simple. if you see an ore, you know what you're getting out of it.

people can say it generates rp or something, but let's be real. who the fuck is grabbing four people all close to them for deep and meaningful RP...

in the middle of the fucking woods where you have to stop what you're doing every 15 seconds to kill the mobs? You can't even afk and do something more interesting.

Down with the perm grind.
It's anti-fun. That 6 hours of grinding mobs for what are effectively essential for me to be on even footing with everyone else is 6 hours I could be beating the piss out of people or getting up to shenanigans.

There is a new shop with pve content right? you do dugeons and get coins?
could sell boosters there, or sell the tears, anything to speed this up.
in addction craftable x potions could also give more points they usually give and have more options of values, to justifie being so long to farm.
x potion 1, x potion 5, x potion 10, etc.
dont remove the grind, make it fun/faster instead.

The issue with this is that the rush economy is currently a touch weird, and at minimum costs like 10k to get into one of the dungeons, needs a party, and they're end game PvE content. If you go into one of those with a low level character who still needs boosters, you're gonna get owned.

Pretty sure the costs for tokens are also still being figured out.

I don't think there is a way to make the grind 'fun' in a game like eternia. PvE is basically never going to work in a game where AI more complex than 'charge the enemy and use spells when they're off CD' is a pipe dream. Look at summons and how they immediately at the start of a fight pop every single spell no matter the range.

Either they take forever to kill and it's miserable in that regard, looking at you chuggums in the sewer dungeon taking five fucking minutes...

Or they take basically no time at all and you're stuck grinding someone by pressing two buttons and then tabbing out to do literally anything else.

Well i thought the easier ones could be done solo but if not the case:
-making new quests that involve give perms as rewards instead of just coin maybe a 3 day cd quest.
-add them as dugeons rewards, like rng 5-10 potion of a 1 randon type seem also good solutions.

i mean there is so many ways to fix that that dont involve boost the drop, which still boring in my option, even if speed up the chances of drop. i also take in count the possibilitie of remove the grind be impossible for obvious reasons.
