In a small room, lightened up only by a floating flame on the ceiling, there are two individuals.
On one side of the table there is a woman. With hair pure as snow, eyes of many colors, and a smile that never leaves her lips.
Facing her there is a kitsune of nine tails. Crimson orbs. A pale complexion that almost makes them seem like some sort of ghost.
They sit quietly, looking at one another. The smiling woman never took her eyes away from the fox; and vice-versa.
It is until the white-haired woman speaks, breaking this long silence that existed.
"Don't be afraid, ████," she speaks; her words distorting by the end of it- that smile ever present.
"Afraid of what?" the ninetails asks, an expression of disgust upon her face.
One long pause between the two-- the white-haired woman stares with the same gentle smile.
"Of being lonely."
"I am not afraid of being lonely."
"Afraid? I can hardly wait."
Quickly, she stood up, abruptly she drops that almost-dead expression. The kitsune's claws drag across the wooden table, leaving a mark on it as she is taken aback by the words of the other individual.
"Afraid?!" once more, she exclaimed. "AFRAID?!"
And seated in front of her, was the white-haired woman. Looking upwards at the kitsune as she stood in this tantrum of hers. Never faltering her smile. Never giving in to this sudden frustration.
But in her eyes, there was a look.
A tiredness unmatched.
One that the fox could not understand.
