This is ███ ████, right? - BLUEROSE - 01-07-2025 ![]() From the couch, a kitsune walked towards an open door, where a man stood, holding the door open, gesturing for her to enter. It was her first visit.
He then gestured to a crimson red armchair across from his desk, and as she sat, her tails curled around her in shame.
"I had... an incident," she began.
"An incident?" the man queried.
"Yes. Last night." she explained.
"Go on." he insisted.
"I... found myself in the middle of a field, miles from my apartment, with no memory of how I got there. Again."
The psychologist raised his eyebrows, leaning forward as to query. "How often does this happen?" he questions.
"Often enough that I've stopped keeping track," her red eyes darted away. "And what of the field last night? What happened there?" The fox sighed, "I woke up. And v§#tɯdvɲ," the kitsune's voice dropped to a lower tone, almost like a whisper. "For a moment, I swear, I saw Sssskkk--fffffzzzz---" The psychologist regarded her carefully. "What?" "███████ just there." The kitsune's stare against the psychologist's remained, tails swayed in a slow rhythm as the man lingered in silence. Then the door burst open, crashing against the wall with a sharp noise. A woman stood in the doorway, her eyes wide with disbelief. She pointed directly at the kitsune, her voice trembling. "Who do you think that is sitting over there?"
RE: This is ███ ████, right? - BLUEROSE - 01-13-2025 ![]() The nine-tailed woman walks into a dark room. A flashing light flickering above that casts a brief shadow upon the walls. Ahead of her, an anomaly exists. It isn't flame, but it mimics one. A blooming, convulsing abstraction that exists in the air, it is as if tried to form itself into something more- but it can never achieve it. Akin to a growing flame.
The flames... speak. No mouth, no center, just words... "It's you," a voice that is too close and too far, swimming through the room, until... nothing...
The kitsune stands still. Her nine tails coil in slow, uncertain movements. Her eyes do not blink."Hello, ███," the kitsune says, the name fractures in her mouth. As if it is half-spoken, half-erased. It slips away like a rat, like it was never there.
The anomaly pulses, and with it comes a sound. Rhythmic. A soft swooshing, perfectly timed. Similar to clockwork- but organic. It does not stop.
"Why don't you want to let me go?""What?"
A huge pause after the kitsune's question.
A silence, if not for the flickering light and the sound that comes from ███.
"I brought her back already," the anomaly responds. Silence chokes the room again. The rhythm continues, indifferent.
"We used to talk before."
"I remember, yes."
…yet another uncomfortable moment of silence. Then the anomaly murmurs, words rippling through the room, like waves crashing across a house. "So, you are ████."
The kitsune lifts her hand. A talisman is shown between her fingers. A yellow paper, with shengense symbols written over it. Proof. But proof of what? "Who is ███?" the kitsune questions. "You already know that," the anomaly replies, its edges darkening.
"What do you mean?" she asks.In response, dark flames seem to grow around the room, slowly encroaching towards the nine-tailed kitsune. She stays immobile, staring at the abnormality, as the fire slowly consumes her. No answer. Not in words, at least. Now, dark flames begin to creep along the floor, hungering. They stretch towards her, casting shadows that don't really align with the light. She does not move. Her tails remain still, as if nailed to the air. "Your fire is not what it seems."
Thus- the flames touch her.
No scream, no struggle.
Clothes, body and skeleton alike all quickly turning into ashes,
falling onto the floor as the sound of the abnormality continues,
endlessly.
RE: This is ███ ████, right? - BLUEROSE - 02-06-2025 ![]() In a small room, lightened up only by a floating flame on the ceiling, there are two individuals. On one side of the table there is a woman. With hair pure as snow, eyes of many colors, and a smile that never leaves her lips. Facing her there is a kitsune of nine tails. Crimson orbs. A pale complexion that almost makes them seem like some sort of ghost. They sit quietly, looking at one another. The smiling woman never took her eyes away from the fox; and vice-versa. It is until the white-haired woman speaks, breaking this long silence that existed. "Don't be afraid, ████," she speaks; her words distorting by the end of it- that smile ever present. "Afraid of what?" the ninetails asks, an expression of disgust upon her face. One long pause between the two-- the white-haired woman stares with the same gentle smile. "Of being lonely." "I am not afraid of being lonely." "Afraid? I can hardly wait." Quickly, she stood up, abruptly she drops that almost-dead expression. The kitsune's claws drag across the wooden table, leaving a mark on it as she is taken aback by the words of the other individual. "Afraid?!" once more, she exclaimed. "AFRAID?!" And seated in front of her, was the white-haired woman. Looking upwards at the kitsune as she stood in this tantrum of hers. Never faltering her smile. Never giving in to this sudden frustration. But in her eyes, there was a look.
A tiredness unmatched. One that the fox could not understand. |
