Alright you cowards, you keep saying change this or that about earth, earth is soooo boring please can we have cool things at home!!! And the cool this is just fucking [FORTRESS]

Well I've done it, i've cemented myself as gods silliest soldier, and come up with some mockup proof of concepts for an Earth Rework.

THE VISION:

So, right now Earth is just kinda the AOE spell school. That's cool and all, kinda expected of earth. But I think earth should LOCK IN on one or two aspects of itself heavily. To match it with the design philosophy of some of the more recently reworked spell schools. Gravity and Cosmic are very FLAVORFUL now imo. And that's exactly what Im going for here. FLAVORTOWN. So, I'd like to see Earth go from JUST the aoe tree, to a more ebb and flow battlefield mastery school. Where one is constantly setting up obstacles and objects for the opponent to manuever around, and for the user to well... Use.

So lets talk about our GUY. OUR BOY, THE BIGGEST AND BADDEST ROCK SPELL. [Image: 7586cdcb683e1598d01db2829790bd735d0abc87...159a44.png] holy shit. It's him. Rock wall. To me? the coolest and biggest possibility for THEMATICS in the earth spell tree. As a starter here, I think the rock wall spell should not change. And assume that every rock wall thats in this kit from now on functions identically to the rock wall in game RIGHT NOW!!!

That means it stays around a few seconds, and it explodes after it expires for moderate damage in a small aoe!

WHEN [EARTHEN FURY] IS ACTIVATED, IT DESTROYS ALL ACTIVE ROCK WALLS IN THE RPB AND SENDS A HOMING, LONG RANGE EARTH BOMB AT THE OPPONENT, QUICKLY STACKING UP TONS OF DAMAGE. BUT GIVING UP YOUR ADVANTAGE OF HAVING TONS OF ROCK WALLS TO PLAY AROUND.

Oh, and keep the earth waves. They're cool too. Maybe on top of applying mud give them a speed up to the user as they move across them. Like the ice tiles on the Lance move.

The Penrose triangle is a triangular 'impossible object', an optical illusion consisting of an object which can be depicted in a perspective drawing, but cannot exist in reality. Sir Roger Penrose described it as "impossibility in its purest form"...

There are two solutions to living in a world full of unjust and pointless suffering:

Acceptance-

Or radical change.

Penrose embraces the latter.

Why must people suffer in the first place? The rigid rules of society and reality have not protected anyone from misery; if anything, they have enshrined it from the ground up.

The only way out is to tear it all down and start over again.

The specific practices and plans of Penrose are mysterious, as the small group has no known physical headquarters. It is not allied with the more blatantly Fel threats of Meranthe at large, though individual native demons and Atrellyan sympathizers alike have been known to fight in its ranks. The members of Penrose typically operate under heavy disguise and secrecy.

With one exception: Libertato Marino, the Inheritor of Chaos, their flamboyant leader.

A man as dangerous as he is unpredictable, where any interaction with him might prove to be a game or in deadly earnest. His presence crackles with the raw power of chaos magic itself, the unrestrained ability to alter space on a whim. Madness and mirth alike sound in his telltale cackle.

Renfae is a firm believer in solving issues of violence through peaceful discussion, though as you are raised he would have taught you that sometimes violence is the correct answer to the problems you will face. To kill Death. When asked and pressed for a goal, that is the goal that Sirinath gave a young woman. To destroy even the Constant, so that all the land does not die... Merely change. Grow. Evolve. An impossible goal, and one that surely cannot be accomplished...

A goal that has been attempted before.

With this thought in mind, Sirinath gathers together allies to begin the process of research. What went wrong... What was the plan? What was the method to the madness that Azrael so dwelled in?

Only by learning from the mistakes of the past can one avoid them, after all.
