Mr. Biologist says:
"Welcome to Eternia, traveler! The purpose of this guide is to help new players in their first steps into the world. If you're not already aware, there's a game launcher that we recommend using. This guide might occasionally reference a slash (/) command, which can be viewed on this page or seen in-game via the blue crystal chat tab."

Mr. Biologist says:
"After logging in with your BYOND account, you will be met with a server selection screen. Choose the server with the highest population; any other listed server(s) are for development and playtesting, and can be safely ignored."

Mr. Biologist says:
"Now that we're logged in and have joined the live server, let's begin our journey!"

Mr. Biologist says:
"First, we select our character's starting location. This doesn't have to be their origin, just where we the author pick them up to make the transition between 'backstory' and 'roleplay'. For new players, we strongly recommend choosing a location like Dal'thala due to the abundance of players and NPCs to help you get started."

Mr. Biologist says:
"For now, we'll focus on creating our character through the in-game systems and menus rather than focus heavily about their lore and backstory. Don't worry, we'll have plenty of time for that later!"

Mr. Biologist says:
"From here, we can choose a race that best matches our desired character. Each race has different racial attributes; Fae races might have wings whereas humans do not. Some are taller, shorter, and so on. Be sure to read the description of each race to get a good idea of what to expect, and how these races interact with each other in Meranthe."

Mr. Biologist says:
"In this menu, we customize our character. You can choose things like different hairstyles, hair and eye colors, and so on. You can re-enter this menu after creating your character so don't worry if you make a mistake or want to change hairstyles later."
