Appearance

Savarra typically appears as a tall, beautiful, onyx skinned Teraphim woman with purple eyes and white hair, dressed in extremely fine clothing. As a second form, she boasts the appearance of a massive spider with a bright, multicoloured pattern upon the abdomen.

Worship

Worshippers of the Weaver are typically referred to as her 'Children'. Worship of the Weaver focuses on three main tenets:

• Hedonism: Followers of the Weaver embrace life at its fullest, seeking new and entertaining experiences, and indulging in all manner of things, from fine food and alcohol to drug use.
• Cunning: The Children of the Weaver have an element of trickery to them, from innocent jokes to rather darker 'pranks' that could well end in the loss of a limb.
• Discord: Stagnancy and the ideals of 'Order' are boring, and if nothing else the Children of the Weaver are taught to avoid being bored.

The Weaver is known to be a source of pacts akin to Witchcraft; those who enjoy such power in life may find themselves joining the ranks of the Weaver's Emissaries, giant spiritual spiders that inhabit areas where her influence is particularly strong. The Weaver is known to occasionally offer a 'blessing' in the form of a bite, resulting in Teraphim taking on a slightly different form to their Aschean counterparts; limbs grow spindly but lose none of their strength, eyes darken, the skin turns a shade of purple, and their hair goes white.

History

A Primordial of indeterminate origin, Savarra has weaved a Great Web that spans the space between the realms, existing in a small demiplane in the center of this web. She came into the lives of the Teraphim in the 1810s, immediately following the increase in corrupted whispers from the Valedepths. Seizing on the disillusionment of a sister community to the Teraphim enclave of Olinaith in the Vale, the Primordial coaxed them away from the worship of Aschea, welcoming them into her own ‘benevolent’ embrace as a living Goddess who cared about them, and ultimately supplanted Aschea as their chief figure of worship. The community began 'the Children of the Weaver', and while not openly antagonistic with other remnant communities in the Vale

Savarra's influence on Esshar proper was first felt in the arrival of the Teraphim Enna ath tel'lythi ath tel'Weaver, who became known through rising to the position of Head Shaman of the Moxtli tribes, ultimately establishing the Weaver as a patron deity within the tribes. While this has resulted in little real change in the world, following an expedition to the once-proud Kingdom of Myllenoris by the aforementioned Teraphim, the remaining population of the city began to worship the Primordial.
