Echo of Amier

The alleged appearance of the anomalous Spirit of Pavonis.

The events of the year 2044AC resulted in a burst of aether over Meranthe that passed far and wide like a warm breeze. Only stopping, as some reports claim, at the mountain Pavonis itself, beneath the shade of the Tower of Aetius. Over the months that went by following this occurrence, alleged sightings of a starry figure. Some called it an ill omen, others claimed it was a reborn primal being. One thing is certain in this age after the being made itself known at the foot of Aetius; it is real, and claims to cherish mortalkind.

Aether blooms in abundance where it walks, resulting in the cosmic dew that drips from the recently accursed grounds that are split by the Iota, and it speaks with the persona of Amier as per the oldest recounts of the Constant's love for creation and life. Tales of the being requesting stories and aspirations from passers-by, and obliterating lesser fiends that encroach upon the foot of the Tower of Aetius all setting a precedent for any who might tread the resting place of its namesake.

No accounts of this being having been sighted beyond the river Iota are known, but it is claimed the Taxidion to Realm Seven stirs. The allure of Pavonis and the Tower of Aetius that looms from on high at the summit greater than ever in this modern era.

Rumors

The validity of these claims are up to speculation.

• The being is said to have complete control over the mysterious energy known as Aether.
• No sightings beyond the Iota are accounted for, suggesting it is bound to the final resting place of Amier.
• It is speculated to be a nascent Primordial, though some scholars suspect it may be something else entirely, capable of great blessings.
• The spirit is a pacifist, with only one account to be noted demons, undead, and willfully accursed beings are rebuked in its presence.

Lorekeeper - OOC

This is a lorekeeper: A character played by a DM that has an active role in the world. They are different from standard PCs as follows,

• Cannot join raids unless they're specifically a target; this includes all offensive battles.
• Cannot intervene through combat to prevent a capture or be intervened on.
• Should avoid roaming the map if it could potentially lead to hostilities unless disguised.
• Can host mini-events, spawn items, etc, with GM supervision. Also acts as a mentor figure and gateway to potential magic or plot hooks.
• Can kill / be a threat, but should do so with good reason and at a high standard.
