The response is swift, scattered letters finding their way around Osrona's territory outside of its walls to distribute a message to its populace.

Quote:Osrona will be working alongside and defending the city of occultists, fleshcrafters, and manipulators of the void in order to undermine the group it excommunicated solely for having two occultists.
This is rich.
I want it to be very clear that any Osronans who participate in this war will be doing so with and for the aforementioned people. The pungent miasma of the void will spread across the battlefield from your "allies." The occult which you've supposedly taken such umbrage with will radiate from those at your side more than it will from those you face.
The outlawing of the "public practice" of it won't stop it from finding its way to the battlefield, as these are techniques and magics the very leadership of Avaritia utilizes. They are void touched. They are occultists. They fleshcraft. They are reliant on all of this, it's what they've built their empire off of. It will continue to be practiced behind closed doors.
I will use this moment to take note of the sheer incompetence of Osrona's leadership.
Elysia reached out to Osrona to request their aid in destroying Avaritia. We were told we would have it should we capture and bring in Alanis "orn" Grimmore and Sebas, implicitly to face execution. We declined, not wanting to see people we've grown close to murdered merely for the magic that ails them.
Just after declining our offer, they've now allied with active practitioners of the occult and much worse. No request for their captivity by Osrona, not even mere exile. They are free to continue practicing it in private and will not be reprimanded when they showcase it on the battlefield. This move is arbitrary and random and no attempt Osrona's leadership makes to save face will undo the moronic display of ineptitude they've put on here.
Think hard as an individual as to whether or not you want to raise your arms in defense of these people. Think hard as an individual as to whether your leadership really has Osrona's best interests in mind. Think hard as an individual as to whether Isenhardt ras Petrakis is a man worthy of leading your nation, or if he's simply a fool making rash and thoughtless decisions with haste in a vain attempt to avoid the moniker of "Do-Nothing King."
I urge you not to participate in this upcoming war, not out of love for our revolution, but out of respect for yourselves to not be treated like cattle, used and abused by the whims of arbitrary leadership who leaps to defend the worst scum on this continent from those who are guilty of only a fraction of their crimes.
As for those truly turned off by this baffling display of utter inadequacy?
Elysia's doors are open to you, should you wish to see change in our once great city.
