Chinatown DM
#1
Key: The Entire Population of China and Derriere

Event Preferences: I prefer to run smaller, linear events for larger groups (5>) and more personal and intense events for small groups (4<). I much prefer running events for small groups or solo players.

Contact Information: MunchingGremlin#7536

Anything Else:
  • I have not run events here before, so my balancing might be way off.
  • I'm more interested in providing opportunities for growth for characters in the event, loot is not the priority.
  • Having a good outline of what the event should be about and what you want from it, will help me out a lot.

Which Event (url of thread): https://chronicles-of-esshar.com/forum/s...hp?tid=860

Responsiveness: Responses were pretty quick and pretty thick. I probably spent more time writing than the DM did.

Balance: It was pretty balanced. There wasn't much to balance other than a little surprise.

Storytelling: With this event being focused on storytelling and reflection, it did well in this category. It aided in building my character.

Fairness: I mean, yes, it was fair.

Overall: The event was enjoyable. My internet connection almost ended its life, so that was pretty scary. Other than my internet connection smashing itself against a brick wall, everything was fine.
- (I'm more interested in providing opportunities for growth for characters in the event, loot is not the priority.)
Opportunities to grow were definitely present. I got rpp out of the event so I can beat on low rpl easier, and character development too.

Any other comments: Try not to turn off my internet while verbing next time, please.

Which Event We Forgot Our Things

Responsiveness: Amazing, this was the most timely event I've ever had the pleasure of being on thus far!
Balance: Very fair. No complaints at all.
Storytelling: It was good, started off with a fun little reference to DBZ, who doesn't love DBZ?
Fairness: Rewards were good, challenge was good.

Overall: I'd have to give this a 9.5/10, this is the second best event I've ever been on and only second because the first is impossible to top. (The HBTC event petal gang went under around the end of Spires)

Which Event (url of thread): We Forgot Our Things

Responsiveness: 8/10, but it was really the people we were with who took several years to respond. DM answered any and all questions very efficiently.
Balance: 10/10 Jacket's life was on the line at all points during the event. At any time he could have died and I was very entertained.
Storytelling: 9/10 Namek Saga next, please.
Fairness: 8/10. Walked away with -80 vit but all the fights were winnable and reasonable.

Which Event (url of thread): We Forgot Our Things

Responsiveness: 10/10 types fast, we were slow
Balance: 9/10 there was a kaor that came in and one shot everyone, it was a good wake up slap if anything, otherwise i liked the use of mobs in between events and doing stupid things that triggered more attacks.
Storytelling: Very fluent, felt like I was playing borderlands and bioshock in one
Fairness: very fair over all, block or die

Overall: 10/10, couldn't ask for anything better.

Any other comments: please run part 2 some time in the future

Which Event (url of thread): We forgot our things.

Responsiveness: 10/10 - Quick narrates and rps from the DM!
Balance: 9/10 - One one-shotted everyone which felt really memey but the IC behind is what made sense. All the mini-bosses were balanced! I loved them especially Jay-ice.
Storytelling: 11/10 - For SOME odd reason it reminded me of the pre-namek saga of DBZ but I'm sure it was just something wrong with my head. It was funny and enjoyable all around. Can't wait for round 2.
Fairness: 8/10 - The rewards that were tossed around were all to everyone's liking and really well thought out.

Overall: 10.7/10 - I'm waiting for the next episode bro!

Any other comments: Why was I so unlucky and got 5 injuries on this event again?

Which Event : https://chronicles-of-esshar.com/forum/s...p?tid=1639

Responsiveness: Responsive. Post times were reasonable.

Balance: All of the zeroes... The fights were balanced and fun! I liked the length of them. It allowed me to use prison twice.

Storytelling: We all love dragon cultists. This seemed more combat-heavy and booty trap than story, however.

Fairness: Pretty fair. I expected loot at the end for killing the boss but it wasn't the case! Something I'm not used to but, I enjoyed the loot I did get. Not a problem at all. Loot is loot.

Overall: I enjoyed it a lot. Fun fights, good pacing. Solid

Event: https://chronicles-of-esshar.com/forum/s...p?tid=1639

Responsiveness: Average
Balance: 3rd round killer Confused Below Average
Storytelling: I liked it. Very combat heavy but I can see parallels here and there so nothing really seemed out of place or "just there" as an obstacle as far as I could tell by the end of the event so I liked it. That, or I was reading too much into it. Above average.
Fairness: I didn't die or come close... I don't think. Only two people actually did...? Also due to the slight balance issue, you didn't count that one thing against us. Above average.

Overall: 7. Out of what you might ask? Who knows.

Any other comments: I left u something didn't I.........................

Event: https://chronicles-of-esshar.com/forum/s...p?tid=1639

Responsiveness: Good, event was done in a timely manner ^.^
Balance: Good as well, except for that one round where the EC had that super op hidden :c
Storytelling: What else can I say, it was a story. It was pretty cold and was something to rp about. I got a check during this event.
Fairness: Fair.

Overall: It was a good event and like I said earlier done in a timely manner which I appreciate. Would recommend. As for a rating I'd say... 8/10 maybe.
