Despite the first battle on the horizon, a missive has been dispatched throughout Osrona all the same. The Crown's Trial, a tournament which will determine who is worthy enough to join the prestigious ranks of the Crown's Guard, to be bestowed with the Chasm's Blessing at a later date, should they prove particularly able and proactive.



It is with great honor that I announce our very first Crown's Trial, a tournament which will be held to determine who is worthy enough to join the Crown's Guard. Whilst this will not always be held for every vacancy, there were quite a few interested parties, and to decide which one is most worthy we will go by the old way. 

As a member of the Crown's Guard, you are charged with protecting the monarch and the royal family as a whole, thus prowess in combat is more vital than most other attributes.

The tournament will be held within this next year, after the battle towards the mountains to the north. As I have predicted, our enemies have taken to questioning our morality, insulting us personally. I have been told as much by those who have encountered them, but do not be deceived by such trickery and deception. It is oft the pursuit of the damned to paint those more righteous in a negative light, an attempt to divide us. While generations past may have been susceptible to it, we are a bulwark. We will not crack.

It is an important part of this tournament, which is why I mention it, as not only will combat prowess be tested, but also your mental fortitude and loyalty. The victor will not by default be chosen to join the Crown's Guard, but only the person who displays these qualities throughout the bouts, so do not be dismayed if you are eliminated.

All is not lost for the victor, however, as we will have a grand prize. The details of which will be kept secret, as profit should not be your goal in this, but serving a higher purpose than yourself.

The tentative date for this is Sunday, September 26th, at 6 P.M. EST. It is subject to change though if circumstances are different or an event is falling on that day. Let me know if that's the case! Sign-ups will be posted the day of.
