Failsafe - Regent

[Simple]

1871 A.C.

On the eve of war a missive has been written and dispatched to Osrona as a whole. One which will secure their future, should the unthinkable happen. A failsafe, so to speak.





First and foremost, it is with a happy heart that I announce the birth of a child. My line now secured, a new generation of Petrakis to one day potentially rule over Osrona as a whole. In addition to this, our Stellus has consented to being the godmother of my children, and should something happen to my husband and I she will then raise them as her own.

Furthermore, I have seen fit appoint Claramonde akh Gardios to the position of Regent of Osrona.

I believe that now more than ever, in a period of war, we cannot risk being without a leader, without guidance. This means that should I fall in battle, should I die at the hands of our enemy, Claramonde will ascend to the throne as Queen Regent, ruling in her own right until a worthy Petrakis heir comes of age.

This way we ensure that a monarch will always sit upon the throne, and that Osrona will never again be without guidance. Claramonde has agreed to step down once an heir reaches the age of eighteen, should this transpire. It is only a failsafe, a plan should I die or am unable to rule for one reason or another, and not until then.

We will get through this together. The enemy will try to paint us as morally ambiguous, but I ask you remain steadfast and firm.
