Asphodel - The Iron Queen

There are whispers that something horrible has happened within the confines of Asphodel's wall.

The sound of battle engulfs the city, as there is one more uprising.

By the end of it, Queen Illythia Vranovo is deceased, and her crown has been placed on the head of the one responsible.

The details of the scuffle are unknown, but all that's known is that sole responsibility of Asphodel has fallen onto the lapine.

A statue is erected in the square by a now-liberated slave.
A public statement is issued shortly after she assumes the throne, alongside a bloodied and beaten Blair Vranovo.

"Weakness has no place in Asphodel. Just as the queen had done to the woman who held her title before,
I issued a blood feud, and emerged victorious. As such, upon my devouring of the corpse of her and her husband, I've grown stronger,
and earned the title of Queen of Asphodel. Any of those who doubt my strength are free to test my new abilities.
Illythia Vranovo was beloved by many, and I had not wished for it to come to this.
But, she was far too merciful. She saw Esshar as something to claim- to rule over.
Esshar is not a valuable territory. It is an infestation. A land of gnats.
You- the people who have worked so hard to find peace in this lifetime...
Live your lives out to the fullest.

"Make no mistake. I will not be taking prisoners and thralling them. If you find yourself in the captivity of Asphodel under my rule,
you will die. Wasting blood on those who run to the enemy to cleanse it is meaningless. Those who have escaped will
be tried as enemies of Asphodel. Those who refuse servitude will be tried as enemies of Asphodel. There is now
only one punishment for your insubordination-- and it is death. But, don't fear. The rest of Esshar will be joining you soon.
I once told an Osronan cadet that it'd be only a matter of time until I was pushed past the need for blood.
That time is now. Esshar will be consumed in an endless rumbling. I will destroy it and claim the entire territory in Her name.

The war with Shadowmire will continue as planned.
The siege of Esshar has begun in it's pre-emptive stages.
Asphodel will not be feeding blood to prisoners to obtain thralls anymore.

Instead, an order of execution has been made for a majority of prisoners captured.
The world is ending as we know it.
The wrath of the Iron Queen is unhinged, and any who cross her path will be subject to her fury.
