Mistakes were made.

"Recent events have happened in our city that have left me more than disappointed. Disgust is the least I can call how I feel before the decision of my fellow Councilmembers to not only wish to ally with a Fleshcrafter who digs up the bodies of children, but to further push such a decision when the votes were at a tie upon the matter and lacking part of the council itself.

Let it be known that Angelo ven Pelleaux, Auxis, and Aeliana lux Efsevis were the only people who wished to not only pardon but to ally the Fleshcrafter. This goes against our laws. Our beliefs. Our church. It goes against what we stand for as people. Not only that, but the Lightbearer also claimed refusing to pardon and ally the grave-robber would sever our alliance with the Fireblooded.

Fear not, Osronans. I was the one who proposed Aeliana should be Archmagi, thus it is my duty to repair my mistakes. I stood tall and strong despite my injuries and my age before this plague that has infected our council. Violence erupted as the first Archmagi, Amori ven Pelleaux, and the third Archmagi, Lando lux Metras, came to my aid to fight against this evil.

Your Archmagi calls for Mercy.
I call for Justice.

Those of the Shimmering City who still understand our values may stand with us.
I oath to do all I can to remedy this situation."

Θ Civil unrest fills Osrona following the wild night in which Alexander Vol Hellstorm was apprehended, prompting the Councilman to come forth with a message to his people.

Θ The Stellus Elys akh K. Gardios has come forth to support his father's words; The Celestial Church stands firmly against the decision on Alexander's case.

Θ Former Archmagi Lando lux Metras and Amori ven Pelleaux stand alongside the Councilman in his efforts, supporting his spoken ideals.

Θ Artificer Cerise Metras stands firmly against the Fleshcrafter being left alive. Following the council's decision each and every single artifact in the Aurora Chasm has been stripped away, threatening the project itself.

Θ Older denizens of Osrona have been seen painting signs during their arts & crafts classes to protest against the decision.

Θ Former Stellus Zhrani K. Gardios has been seen mending the injuries and the damage left by the violent encounter with the Fleshcrafter. She, too, stands against the decision.

Θ Citizens are invited to rise up against such betrayal from their Archmagi. Seifer K. Gardios invites them to send letters to the aforementioned woman to state their disappointment.

Θ Those who wish to stand against such injustice are called upon to do so, no matter how weak or strong they are.

As civil unrest takes hold and lines are drawn within the Shimmering City, the High Priestess takes to the town square. Perhaps either driven by the madness, or emboldened by the chaos, her words ring out, without hesitation, a clarion call through the infighting.

Quote:    "Our city, that which shimmers in the light of the Sun, and the brilliancy of Leonaus, has found itself torn asunder. A split in the Council that will not be solved with mere words. A matter that clings so desperately to our spirits, it tears at us to act in any capacity except by what our morals say. I will say, what many others may fear at this moment.

Our Council, has failed. Fractured and split, as the two sides in this conflict appear to be intractable. Regardless of what happens as a result of this infighting, there will be a reckoning. And so, I propose a third path. One of drastic change.

It is not well known, but my Grandmother is a descendant of the old Monarchy. A Petrakis in blood. And so I propose, we reignite our original purpose.

To restore the Petrakis to the throne. An end to the Council, and a return to what Maltziel said was our gift. Our blessing. The City of Osrona was to be ruled by the Petrakis lineage.

I asked once, why it was abandoned. After countless generations, we had cast aside our original sacrament, in favor of the Council. I was told, it was for the good of the city, to abandon the potential of a tyrannical ruler. Instead? We have a Council that has become more of an Oligarchy in recent years. With its members choosing their successors, and the Council putting more members on it themselves. While not corrupt, the precedent for allowing it to sink to corruption has been set in place.

I have spent many years considering this course. I have spoken about it at length with a few confidants. I had remained silent, believing that perhaps I was mistaken. That I would be proven wrong. But with this explosion, I am now firm in my beliefs. The Angel Maltziel wished for the Petrakis to lead, and so, we must lead once more.

Those of you who love our city, let us restore the Monarchy, the Petrakis to the throne.

I, Arista ven Pelleaux, eldest of the Petrakis bloodline born of Odin's lineage, am exercising my claim to the throne, and declaring myself as the rightful Queen of Osrona. Upon my coronation, I will take up the name of Petrakis, and restore order to our city.

So far as where I stand on this matter of Alexander and fleshcrafters? Fleshcrafting is an abomination. Many of his acts have been unforgivable. But there are larger threats than Alexander as well. If he wishes the aid of Osrona, he must also understand that his people have tried to destroy ours for generations. Should he wish our help? He must be willing to turn himself in, to stand trial. Only on such a concession, should help be considered. A trial judged by the Monarch, and one representative of each side of this conflict.

Justice and Forgiveness run hand in hand. One cannot outrun their sins."
