A proto-settlement appears!
#1
Under the cover of many nights over months' time, nonmagus refugees flee the now crime-riddled Achyon for a second chance at life. Many of which are employed by Nomont Industries, Inc while others find themselves recruited into a recently established militaristic faction of nonmagi dubbed The Antimagus Task Force, a distant cousin of their Achyon-borne Iron Legion and Osronan-borne Magus Defense Force counterparts.

The early developments throughout 1853 AC would find those within Moxtli finding an increasingly noticeable number of nonmagus travelers passing near their western and southern borders, moving across waterways with boats that'd be heaved the distance. For a while, they appeared to be entirely isolationist, intent on being left alone to take to their own devices. Over time, their endeavors wrought forth a tent city along the western front of the island, still looming with dangerous magus fauna. Their militia forces had proven surprisingly effective at fending off minor magus threats with their growing arsenal of anti-magic weaponry.

Magus encounters proved inevitable, yet in spite of such? Most seem to be resolved peacefully, even motivating collaborative efforts to enable their establishment. Though, not was without conflict nor tension. For an encounter with Maple Grace had proven to trouble their numbers, resulting in the first casualty. Once the magi had turned up, weakened, and surrendered, they were -- against all odds -- immediately delivered to Moxtli, as a token of good faith, by Asura Nomont himself.
The group living there, do not appear to stand under any established flag nor name, yet somehow flaunt the concept of a successful democratic system and most notably? A primarily nonmagus-dominated society.

The lights shine bright at night, visible from Moxtli's southern border on the horizon. New, nonmagus neighbors, complete with developing antimagus technologies.
Even now, they seek out potential leaders amongst their numbers to build their defenses up, against the many dangers of Esshar.

How long could they possibly last?
