Have you ever felt like something is watching you?
Well... I have to deal with that feeling all the time.
An ever lasting companion.

One that I fed constantly, endlessly.
So many that I lost the count.
And now, I'm beginning to realize...

I may have overdone it.

It's strange.


I'm beginning to feel anxious, nervous even, around the very same creature I made.
It knows everything I know- it watches me at all times.
But I'm beginning to doubt if that's a good thing.

I take a seat, my eyes running about the table.
A bowl of crimson reed. Smoking..?
I suppose it's a good distraction.



Y̵o̶u̸'̵r̶e̷ ̷f̷e̴e̵l̷i̷n̵g̷ ̵u̵n̴e̵a̶s̷y̴.̶

That sudden voice. Is it watching me even now?




"You don't have to watch me at all times, you know. Maybe I want some privacy."

I retort suddenly, but there's only silence.
Did I disappoint it? Is it angry at me?
It helped me much... maybe I'm a bit unfair and it just wants to protect me?

"Are you mad at me?"

I wait a bit again.
It's getting worrisome.
Maybe I fed it too much.

With every passing year, it grows more coherent.
More sensible, thoughtful, capable even.
And... independent.
