Whistling could be heard all around the lands. Some would not understand why. But people find out that when it occur it was a bad omen. Children. Women. Men. None were sparred as they simply disappeared from sight. A simple situation was occur that led to what was told. 

All over Esshar, people, especially young children have been dying with little warning, always after a heated argument, where the child exclaims something along the lines of "Maybe I should just kill myself".

Once they're alone, generally hiding in their room after an argument, they are found later, drained of their life force, with a single canary feather on their lifeless body.

Burly and his crew felt it as he had a feeling that. What should stay down didn't stay down at all.
