"The Agana family? Strange people. They never left their manor, even after the ban on blood magic was raised but every time they did leave, there was always strange scenes. Symbols carved of blood and bone. Rains of crimson red that poured over the country side. There was rumours at one point they had made a pact with a demon, but nothing seemed to have ever been uncovered about that!"

Researching deeper into her lineage, Kali has found out more information of the very first family she ever had in Esshar. A cursed bloodline of blood, bone and poison magi that hid away for many decades. Her old home, before she was forced to leave as an orphan, is the only source of further information. The Agana's were very secretive and as Kali later finds out, there was a good reason for it.

Her family had formed a magi cabal, with the goal of preserving the secrets of blood magic during the ban in Osrona, more specifically the more profane powers of it. To achieve this means they had created an artefact. A beating heart of Arcanium. Within it, blood constantly oozes forth. The Essence of multiple generations of Aganas had been pooled inside of the magical artefact and infused with the bloody magic the family was infamous for. It's said that the artefact itself may even be the reason why each Agana is supposedly cursed with unstable but powerful blood magic. A sliver of each family member, taken from birth to be infused and leaving the wild magic behind.

As for the rumors of a pact with a demon?

Well, that was purely superstition and canards, right?
