The few, fleeting moments I was able to know you were brief.
Both you and the other claimed naivety for how I saw you.
But even if that humanity came from something you never were before?
It was what I believed you were in the present.
Living. Thinking. Just like us.
I had offered something to you, that I sincerely wanted to deliver upon.
But as per plans of others, that differed from my own?
I can never make good on it.
You will likely never know these thoughts.
But truly,
I am sorry I could not give you that Home.
May you at least know some amount of peace,
Even if it lies within non-existence.
You will, at the very least, exist yet as a memory.

I'm not sure if you enjoyed it, but...
It was the one thing I brought you,
