When you find your quest, the very meaning to your birth – when the luminescent melody of creation that pries upon your heart and soul, the journey becomes the derivation of your joy, the sole reason you live, rather than any destination. At the tender age of thirteen, Vigr is denied this gift. Pirates who came as any brigand would, cold hearted with cold swords, to steal what belonged to others. His Father, slaughtered at the hand of the cut-throat invasion, their crew suffered a similar fate before total annihilation, and his Mother, lacerated akin to butter with sword, before his own eyes.

But it is within her dying breaths, that she wills for the budding Dyr to live, and continue to breathe many more days, until his family can rest, knowing their slayers have been eradicated.

This is Vigr’s story of retribution.

To find this fort was no easy accomplishment. A cumulative number of years had been set aside, but finally, Vigr has stepped upon his largest clue to date: a lead to his past. The marauders' island. It housed the base of their operations, and most certainly was no different from the green pastures of Esshar, reeking of sadism, and brutality. That is all they ever practiced on this island, after all.

Though soon, even that practice would come to a well-deserved, bloody end.
